  • For the last six Sundays I have woken up late and had Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  This morning I was back to getting up at six and going out in the cold to play guitar at church.  I think I’m still recovering.
  • Today could possibly be my last day of Fantasy Football this year.  If I win I sneak into the playoffs.  If not, I am done.
  • SkörInc has another ‘launch’ this week that I am really excited about.  Keep a post open to help spread the word about that.
  • We are currently working on an email list for this blog for no other reason than to have fun with.
  • There’s talk of snow here tonight, and tomorrow, which is cool because I am usually out of town when it snows here.  Now, if I only hadn’t left my jacket on the bus in Dallas.
  • Kristin is starting to embrace Twitter, so if you aren’t following her, you can here.

Well, that’s about it this week as far as random thoughts in my head.  Not much going on this week.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  What’s on your mind today?

Well, today it’s the last day of the tour.  We are in Montgomery, Alabama setting up for the show tonight in between football games and checking Fantasy scores.

The end of a tour is always a weird thing.  Everyone is ready to be home, see their families and be off the road, but the idea of not hanging out with the people you have lived with for the last 2 months is kind of sad.  It’s obvious that’s it’s been an amazing tour and the MercyMe guys are always amazing to work with and I hope to have a chance to do it again.

Other than wrapping up the tour we aren’t doing much today, except Wes, the Production Manager just accidentally dumped a two-liter bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper over on the floor of this really nice church green room.  I’m glad I didn’t just do that.  It seems like something I would do.

Anyway, this has been my installment of Stats Suck Sunday because my stats will suck today, and so will yours.

Let’s hear it.  What’s on your mind?

  • I think the sickness that has been plaguing the tour has finally caught me.  I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and headache.  Today is worse.
  • My Fantasy Football team was projected the other day to lose to Bart by forty points or so.  Now I am projected to beat him by three.  He might throw me off the bus.
  • I am working on installing a thing called IntenseDebate on this here blog.  Hopefully it makes commenting even more fun.  Make sure to test it out and let me know what you think.
  • I’m ready to be home with my wife and some cold medicine.
  • We finished Long Way Round last night and now all the guys want to take a cross-country trip on motorcycles.
  • I can tell it’s getting close to the end of the tour.  I think we are all ready to see our families a little more, but it will be a bummer when it’s over.
  • I heard today that Barack Obama will have to give up his Blackberry when he becomes President.  Turns out, Presidents aren’t allowed to email or carry a cell phone.  Who knew?
  • It’s frustrating that Cracker Barrel doesn’t serve oatmeal after ten.  I’d change that if I were in charge.

Welcome to Sunday.  Your stats will suck today.  So will mine.  This is a place to share the completely random things going on in your head.  Who’s with me today?  Ready Go.

  • Today was another late morning day.  On Sundays we have to wait until folks get out of church to move in and rearrange their sanctuary, so we have made “brunch at Cracker Barrel” a weekly tradition.  Luckily weigh in day is on Fridays.
  • We are in Hagerstown, Maryland today.  I looks like a pretty cool little town, but I have no idea.  I just stumbled off the bus, so all I’ve really seen is the parking lot of a church.
  • My Fantasy Football team is projected to loose by about forty points today.  Not looking good there.
  • I seriously could eat pineapple every day.
  • Kristin sent me an email this morning and I can’t stop thinking about it and laughing.  She may be using it for her blog but I wanted to seal it.  This is what it said.
When we got home from Blue’s basketball practice last night Aiden went inside first.  When we got in there, we couldn’t find him anywhere.  I called and called, and finally he popped up from behind the chair with a candy bar, and said, “I accidentally ate this treat…on accident….”
  • I’ve been trying to watch Iron Man this entire run.  Bart brought it out, but I haven’t had time.
  • We did go bowling until after three in the morning last night, so maybe that’s why I haven’t had time to watch Iron Man.
  • I’m no good at bowling.  The first game I got a 94 and the second game I got a 119.  I don’t think I beat many people.
  • One more night and I will be home for a few days.  Can’t wait to see Kristin and the boys.

Welcome to Stats Suck Sunday.  If you are just joining us this is the day where no one really reads anything, so it’s a day to post random thoughts or even Michael Bolton videos.  These are a few things floating around in my brain today… in case you were wondering.  See how I did that?  Pulled in the title of this here blog.  This post does nothing more than prove that I need more sleep.

What’s on your mind today?

Well as most of you know, we played a little game of flag football yesterday in Wichita Falls. The crew won by a substantial amount and I may have messed up my wrist, but we had a great time. Now, some of you mentioned wanting to see my “uniform” for our flag football games and here it is.

You’ll notice that I put this picture on a day where my stats will suck. That’s not an accident.

What’s on your mind today?

  • Yesterday I trimmed the bushes in our front yard.
  • I hate trimming the bushes in our front yard for many reasons.
  • While trimming the bushes in our front yard, I dropped a stick into my eye.  It’s been hurting ever since.
  • My Fantasy Football team is not doing too bad but I’m still projected to lose.
  • I played guitar at church this morning which meant the 5:30 alarm clock noise.
  • Luke sang today at church so it was cool to hang with him a bit and talk business.
  • Typing with one eye isn’t fun.
  • I’ve got two days until I leave for the MercyMe tour.  It seems like it snuck up on me.  I better find my luggage and get it all ready.
  • I’m even boring myself with this post.  It’s no wonder my stats suck today.

Happy Sunday everyone.  What’s on your mind today?

  • I just figured out that the song about the old lady who swallowed a fly and then a spider, and then a bird and then a cat, and then a dog, and then a goat, and then a horse is possibly about lying. Like if you lie once you have to cover it up with a bigger lie and so on. Only took thirty years for me to get that, and I am still skeptical.
  • My Fantasy Football Team is going to loose bad today.  I can feel it.  Here’s my team for all you peeps who know what you are talking about and want to tell me how bad they are.
  • Turns out ambulance rides are expensive.  Really expensive.  Like, thirty-two dollars a mile expensive.  Sucks when the closest kid’s hospital is almost forty miles away.
  • This is the most deceptive time of year as far as weather goes.  I think it’s smart to wear a sweatshirt all day… then find out, it’s not.
  • Congratulations to the Best’s and the Bush’s for adding humans to their lives this week.
  • I found this blog today and thought it would be funny.  I think it’s going to end up letting me down.  And before you go there you should know, there’s cussing and it’s not even funny cussing.
  • I think Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie, but I haven’t decided entirely.  ”She thinks the monkey is the Sultan.”
  • Dan Haseltine Twittering will eventually destroy my phone.  I woke up to six messages from him.  Can we say “device updates off“?
  • We rented Run Fatboy Run last night from iTunes.  People with accents make for better movies.  Have you seen it?

Welcome to Sunday.  These are the random things floating around in my head this morning.  Our stats will suck today, it’s true, but we are all here together with sucking stats so we might as well enjoy it.

What’s nobody reading on your blog today?

Alright all you Christian music fans, how many artists are mentioned or referred to in this song?

It’s Sunday. What’s random in your life today?

  • My Fantasy Football team is reflective to my knowledge of football.  I’m losing to Mike Scheuchzer pretty bad right now.
  • It was Tomlin day at church today.  That guy is connected to some pretty decent worship songs.
  • I broke my D string on the third song, second service.  At least I still have my G string.
  • I know it sucks to work fast food, but how hard is “No Tomatoes”?
  • I’m debating heading out to the Switchfoot, Third Day show tonight.  I’ve heard it’s a great show.
  • Blue and I are going to play guitar hero instead of watching football.  My attention span is pretty short when it comes to losing.
  • If I end up going to the show tonight I’ll be hanging out with this fellah, but hopefully he doesn’t bleed on me or anything.

There it is folks.  My Sunday.  Pretty exciting huh?  What’s your plans for the day?  Anything awesome?

  • I went to see “Traitor” last night with Steve Fee, ran into this guy and his wife and stayed out too late.
  • We played a Lenny Kravitz song at church today.  It was a lot easier than I expected it to be.  I absolutely don’t have enough “cool” in me to pull that one off though.
  • Some guy told me at church today that my guitar playing sounded like someone I had never heard of.  I said “thanks” and now am wondering if that was a compliment.
  • I burned the top of my mouth on coffee this morning.  I wish I hadn’t done that.
  • Been thinking a lot about the folks in New Orleans this morning.  Hopefully everyone gets out.
  • I’ve got two or three meetings this week, but am excited to focus on some work.
  • I realized this week I like taking cold showers in the middle of the day with no lights on and I don’t care if that makes me weird.
  • I’m ready for Winter…. but will settle for Fall

What’s your Sunday looking like?
