MYNH – Aftermath

So, I got this record from my friend Daniel and I just realized today that it hasn’t come out yet.  So, while it’s Music You’ve Never Heard, it’s really Music No One Has Ever Heard.  That’s alright, I’m still going to tell you about it. I was going to show you another song, but since the record isn’t out yet, I think I’ll hold off showing you that one and just showing you the video from his website.

Most of you know that I’m a sucker for simple acoustic tunes and this falls right in line with that.  Aftermath is stripped down, it’s clean, but it’s got some great layers tucked in there.

You can check out more and hear more songs here.  Let me know what you think.

Addison Road’s ‘Stories’

Remember when I said it was a busy week for SkörInc?  Well, I wasn’t joking.  This week we also launched a brand new AddisonRoad.com complete with the opportunity to download the entire record before it’s out.  That’s right.  Pre-order the record today and download the entire thing right now.  And just so you know, I’ve heard the record and in perfect Addison Road form it’s amazing.  Very solid songs.

So head over and check out the new site.  As always, let me know if there’s anything broken or looking weird, or just let me know what you think.  And while your there, pick up a copy of the new record ‘Stories’.  You won’t be disappointed.

ParadigmCCM

We’ve had a couple ‘different’ projects floating around these parts for the last few months, and in the spirit of letting you all know about them, I thought I’d mention this one.  Everyone give a warm welcome to  Paradigm (once Third Coast Booking Agency).  Now, this isn’t a blog site, or really a site that the general public would visit often but we still wanted to make it look and feel like a SkörInc site.  In fact, the coolest parts of this site are the parts most of you will never see.  The promoter login sections and all that is pretty cool.

So, while this might not be a site that you visit frequently we’re pretty proud of it and I thought I should let you know about it.  So check out ParadigmCCM.com and let us know what you think.

‘On The Incarnation’

on_the-incarnation

Today’s the day folks.  Daniel Renstrom’s ‘On The Incarnation’ is officially available on iTunes and at his store.  Now here’s the deal.  There is absolutely no reason you wouldn’t buy this record.  I’ve never been a huge fan of Christmas music because it all seems to sound the same, but there are two records that have changed that for me.  Andrew Peterson’s ‘Behold The Lamb Of God’ and Daniel’s ‘On The Incarnation’.

So here’s what we are going to do.  Fist up, you’re going to go buy the record.  Then you are going to love it.  Then I want to hear your favorite song on here.  Then you will love the record so much that you will blog about it, put it on your Facebook and Twitter about it.  Sounds like an awesome plan huh?

Here’s my favorite.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

So that’s your project today.  So let’s hear it.  Favorite song on the record?  Go.

Welcome Todd Agnew

todd_agnew

We’ve been working with Todd for a while now, but today marks the day of the official launch of his new website. Up until now Todd’s been blogging a ton and really interacting well on there, so I’m excited to see what we can do with a full site.  Yesterday also marked the day where you can pre-order Todd’s record “NEED” coming out October 6th.  Lots going on in the Todd Agnew camp, so make sure you check him out and say hello.

So let’s all head over to Todd’s new site, take a look around, and as always, let me know what you think.  Let me know if you see any tweaks that need to be made.  Time for BlogNation to rally again and spread the word.  Tweet about it, blog about it, put it on your Facebook, all that stuff. And while we’re here, you know how this goes.  Let’s hear your favorite Todd Agnew song.

Ready?  Go.

Three Jee Es

apple-iphone-3gs

Yep, I did it.  Now, I had the first generation iPhone.  You know, the one with the metal back and no 3G-ness.  Well, yesterday Mr. FedEx dropped off my Father’s Day present from Kristin and the boys and I immediately started in on setting it up.  It’s not all organized or set up perfectly yet, but it’s getting close.

What’s cool about this whole upgrade thing is that now Kristin can have my old one and let’s face it; What’s not cool about a two iPhone family?  Was that the proper use of the semicolon?  Anyway.  I’m still reading about all the new features, and honestly I’m just glad that I have a phone that doesn’t take thirty seconds to decide to unlock occasionally.

So a big fat, ‘my wife is awesome’ thank you to Kristin and my boys for my new distraction that I can also use for work.  So I know a bunch of you out there already have the new iPhone, so what’s your favorite thing so far?

Save Those Pennies

Okay everyone.  I have another small project for you this Friday.  Are you up for it?  Here’s the deal.  This time we need to save nine hundred and ninety nine pennies.  On Friday we will have a little individual purchasing and musical listening party, and then we will come here and talk about what we just listened to.  It’s going to be awesome and you will thank me later, but you need your pennies to make that happen. Have I steered you wrong yet?  Is that how you spell “steered”?  It looks weird.

So set aside those pennies.  Look under the couch.  Skip Starbucks for a day.  Anything, but it’s time for a little musical discovery…. Friday.

Who’s with me?

Something New

10205-brobrand-new-br-new-posters.jpgWell, it’s pretty obvious to anyone returning that this is a brand new place to look at. Welcome to it. If you are here for the first time, well, the last one wasn’t as cool so you’re not missing anything.

Once again, Randy has been working like crazy to get whatever pops into my head working on the internet, and making it look good. Take a look around. There’s not a whole lot of new content yet, but there are some new buttons over on the side heading to some amazing organizations. Also you will notice a new button at the top that says “Contact”. That’s to well, contact me. Especially if you notice anything weird or broken on here.

Also if you notice that your name isn’t in the link list let me know and I will run you through the extensive application process to being added to it.
