So tonight I was driving home from taking the boys to the movies and I flipped on the radio.  Typically when I listen to the radio I have it on the Christian station here in town for a couple reasons.  First, if I am driving in the mornings my friend Brant is on there and it’s cool to hear him, and second, if I am driving at night, I know Wally is on there and he loves to talk about blogs.  In fact, Wally even has a blog, though it’s really hard to find if you don’t know it’s there.

So anyway, tonight I’m driving home and they start talking about this cruise thing coming up that MercyMe is going on.  Wally starts talking about the MercyMe guys and how, no doubt, they will be running around on the cruise filming things for their blog.  ”Daddy are they talking about your blog?”, Blue asked from the back seat.  I told him it was one of the ones I work on, and told him that was pretty cool they were talking about it.

About five minutes later they started talking about a blog thing that they do every Friday, and first up they start talking about Phil’s blog and how he’s giving away a record on it.  Now, he got a few of the details wrong about how the album was uploaded on there but awesome none the less that they were talking about it.

Almost instantly after talking about Phil’s blog they went into a story that was blogged about on the Fee guys blog.  What the heck?  Not to bad to have three blogs that I work with mentioned on the radio in a matter of ten minutes.  All we needed was them to start talking about Natalie and it would have been a commercial for SkörInc.  And you know what’s awesome about it all?  All of these blogs are getting noticed because all of these guys are blogging well.  The Industry is listening folks, and I think it’s pretty cool.  Well, at least Wally is listening, and I’ll take it.

So Wally, I know you are going to see this eventually, and when you do do me a favor.  Check out all those blogs you talked about tonight, and go down to the bottom and look for a common logo.  Then let’s go grab coffee.

Alright folks.  I know it’s been a while, but we need your help again.  Late last night we launched Fee’s new site and we need your help getting the word out.  It starts here and I know a lot of you already are linking to the guys, but if you aren’t make sure to start sending people their way.  Randy spent a lot of time and energy on this one over the past few weeks and I think it’s something pretty cool and different for the guys.

So head over there and say hi and don’t forget to link back.  Thanks for helping get the word out.

This week is a busy time here in Nashville. Everyone that lives here can attest to that. It’s GMA week and even if you don’t have anything you have to do, everyone from the industry is here doing things they have to do, and it’s like a big reunion.

So far I have managed to keep my calendar pretty open but I know that it will fill up fast. Yesterday I had a great lunch (meeting) with Spence about blogging and social networking and all that.  I love talking with people that “get it” and I don’t look like a crazy person when I am talking about blogging.  Today is pretty free, but I have a lot of things to get done before the weekend.  Then tomorrow, I will be headed to Chattanooga to hang out with these guys and their crew and answer a few questions.  These guys will be there too so I’m excited about that.  Then on Saturday I will head to Jackson, TN where these guys and these guys are playing a show together, so that will be fun.  Stay tuned because I heard that there might be some MercyMeTV stuff going on that day.  Sunday I have a meeting with one of those mass text messaging companies to talk about… well… mass text messaging, and Monday there are a few different options of things that might happen.  That will start the week, and from there I’m sure it will get busier.

I know a few people have contacted me who are coming to town for GMA Week, but if you are in town let me know on my contact page. Maybe if we get enough people here we can do a blogging dinner get-together type thing. You know a big group of us.

 Have a great morning.

notepad-trans.pngIt’s been a long couple days. I haven’t been in a great mood. I’ve been distracted and annoyed at several things. I’ve been tired and my brain has been somewhere else. And most likely I haven’t been that fun to be around, but I have been thinking about a few things.

**A song was just played on The Grammy’s, where music awards are given away. Awards given away for what record label people and other folks here in America have decided are the best songs of the year. Do you know what song was just played in front of thousands and thousands of people at the Grammy’s where these awards are given away? Something about some idiot wanting to check a girl for ticks…. on the Grammy’s…. for ticks.

**I missed all the snow this year at home. I was gone every time it snowed. I love the snow, and wish I had been here for that. Maybe it will snow this week but I doubt it.

**If you felt you could, what would you say?

**I’m not sure what businesses are thinking, and I never noticed it in California but it has driven me nuts since we moved to Tennessee. Businesses, on a regular basis, leave one of their double doors to their business locked. Typically it’s the left door. The one someone would use if they were leaving the establishment. The one that causes awkwardness every time you slam into it in full stride, only to bounce backwards after hitting your face and spraining your wrist into the glass. Why do businesses do it? Don’t they want people to enter their business? Are they sending the message that they only want fifty percent of the customers that they can handle? Are they trying to make me look like an idiot every day?

**This is funny. I don’t care who you are.

**I think I’d eat at Baja Fresh more if it didn’t feel like a sterile hospital every time I walked in there. The lights are so bright and everything is white. Plus I’m not really keen on black and white checks.
