This One Was A Fun One

phil_button.jpgIt’s been pretty fun building blogs for these different artists. It’s been fun to open their eyes to a new way to connect with the people that want to know them better, and get their music even further out there, but I’m really excited about this next one. Phil and I have become good friends over the years and it’s awesome to work with someone so talented and genuine.

A few weeks ago I was able to sit down with Phil and talk through an entire new website idea where everything was pretty accessible and easily updated. We also talked about a brand new blog connected to his site that sort of became the site rather than keeping it looking like something you have already seen a million times. Phil was open to the idea, we talked about look and feel, and came up with this.

So here it is. Randy has worked crazy hard on getting this thing to look and act the way we want it to, and we are really excited about seeing what happens with it.So head over to Phil’s new site, say hello, then spread this thing like crazy.

HMMM…

burntputer-702422.jpgNo, this is not my computer. But I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty soon. Remember when my power cord caught on fire? Well right about that same time I noticed that the fan on my computer had been starting to run constantly and get louder and louder the longer I worked on it. I started looking around online, to see what the average temperature for the Black MacBook’s is. I never found an exact number. Then I found this fancy widget to go on my dashboard that tells me seven (yes, seven) different temperatures.

Because blisters are now forming on the tops of my thighs, I am really only concerned with the hottest temperature that this little widget is showing. Eighty One degrees, Celsius. That seems a little hot to me. Isn’t one hundred boiling? What’s “igniting” temperature? I noticed that when I take the battery out it drops down to around sixty-two degrees, Celcius, but with the battery out little mishaps can occur. Like, let’s say you are writing a long guest post for someone, and the dog steps on the cord, unplugging your computer. With no battery, that could potentially be tragic.

So this morning I have tried to call the local Mac store but in true Mac form, they don’t like to answer the phone. What’s your laptops average temperature? Want to place bets on when my lap catches fire?
