Welcome to Sunday. It’s time for another installment of ‘Stats Suck Sunday’ where everything is random and it doesn’t matter anyway because no one is reading it.  To join in it’s easy.  Write a bunch of random bullet points on your blog and leave the link in the comments along with your comment.  Things have changed up a little because I’m mad at Mr. Linky for screwing up my blog too much.  Here goes:

  • First off, I know this video above is old and most of you have seen it, but go ahead, tell me it’s not good enough to post again.  Plus with this week being the 4th of July and all, it’s only appropriate.
  • I actually have a Saturday and Sunday “off” this week.  And when I say “off”, I mean that I get to be home and not on the road.
  • I do have to be gone for The Forth of July though.  I will be in New York, which is a bummer but I think there will be plenty of time to blow things up with the boys when I get home.
  • The Disney Channel weirds me out.  It’s like they take a bunch of kid actors and put them in adult story line movies.  Like crime fighters, or ninjas, or something else awesome and then these kids are fighting adults.  I’ve never seen a kid ninja soccer player girl before.
  • I’ve decided to start memorizing songs on the guitar.  I’ve always been a slacker at that.  I suppose that’s the problem with learning guitar by leading worship.  You always have the option of chord charts.
  • Playing basketball barefoot hurts my ankle.
  • This week is Kristin’s birthday (July 1st), so I’ve got some planning to do, but I have some sneaky ideas.
  • Last night we had green beans and spaghetti with basil from our garden.
  • ‘Return To Neverland’ is way more intense than the first ‘Peter Pan’ movie.  Those pirates are rough.
  • I’d like to go on a roller coaster.
  • I thought about the green overlay thing on my Twitter avatar, but I don’t really get what it’s supposed to do.  Plus that green weirds me out a little.
  • I think I need to be done because my foot is asleep.

Happy Sunday.  What’s on your mind?

Welcome to Sunday.  It’s been a while since I’ve done a ‘Stats Suck Sunday’ post because typically I am getting home from the road and don’t even want to look at my computer on Sundays.  But this week ended up being one of the two weekends I will have off until October and I’ve tried to take full advantage of it.  So, if you don’t know how this works… welcome to the party.  This is random, pointless bullet points that not that many people will read because it’s Sunday.  You’re welcome to use this format for your blog today, if you’d like, and you can also steal the Stats Suck banner if you want.  Or you can make your own.  Ya dig?  Here goes.

  • My ‘drink from a mug only’ beverage plan seems to be going okay, but probably because I haven’t really left the house much.  There was lunch the other day with Carlos where I drank my weight in pineapple juice, and that was not from a mug, so maybe I’m not doing as well as I thought.
  • Speaking of that pineapple juice.  I need to find that juice and somehow make sure there is a constant flow of it into my refrigerator.  Maybe replace the water dispenser in the door with a pineapple juice one.  Now we’re talking.
  • I’m expecting good things from Orlando tonight.  Kobe can’t be that good every night.
  • The boys and I rode bikes around the neighborhood yesterday and I’m thinking this is going to be a regular thing.  It was a lot better once Aiden learned he had brakes.
  • I’m working on an event with Jonny Diaz this week, with my friends at INO Records, and am going to need all your help to make it as big as we possibly can.  Everyone make sure to leave Thursday evening open for a little live broadcast.  More details later this week.
  • I think I’m sunburnt.
  • Seriously, that pineapple juice was amazing.  I think it was some ‘organic’ Nestea thing, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere.  It had a different name than Nestea, but I think it was that ‘brand’.
  • “Quitting is fun and think of all the time you will save” - The white fluffy cat in Stuart Little 2.
  • I had 311 emails this morning when I woke up.  On a Sunday.  I pushed ‘Delete’ a lot.
  • I’ve never seen a guitar in worse shape than the boys acoustic guitar.  Maybe Willie Nelson’s, but theirs is pretty bad.
  • I need to replace all the railing on our front porch and I’m a little nervous about it.  I’m not what you would call ‘handy’.
  • I’ve got to go replace some strings on a jacked up kids guitar.
  • Have a great Sunday.

Let’s hear it.  What’s your randomness today?

Welcome to Sunday.  I got off the bus this morning at about 3AM so I’m a little out of it right now, but I wanted to make sure to throw a bunch of randomness on here and bore you all to tears.  It is amazing to be home on a Sunday where my phone isn’t ringing like crazy and I don’t have 200 emails to sort through.  I love that people take Sunday off.  And speaking of that, who’s ready for some random thoughts?  In bullet points of course?

  • The Minority Report is a weird movie.
  • Not only is the Minority Report a weird movie, but it’s weird that it set in 2054, which doesn’t seem all that far away.
  • I completely forgot about Colin Farrell.  But I’m sure everyone pretty much has too.  Except for maybe his mom and some close friends.
  • Quizno’s takes Subway any day, but I’ll give it to Subway for trying.
  • I’m going to go ahead and say it.  Go Rockets.  Yeah, I said it.  Anyone who’s up against the Lakers is a friend of mine.  Beyond that I’ve got to go with LeBron.  He deserves a win this year.  But really does it matter as long as the Lakers lose?
  • I’ve finally just now gotten Country Music out of my head for the week.  All it too was a little Killers, and now we are good until Thursday night.
  • I’m still a little bummed that the WayFM DJ lady ruined The Biggest Loser Finale for me the other day.  I still haven’t seen the finale, but I also saw a People Magazine on the table in catering the other day with the winner on the cover.  Boo.  There’s almost no point in watching it.
  • I’m pretty amazed that Natalie Grant has crossed the 10,000 Followers mark on her Twitter with 10,219.  It’s pretty impressive really.
  • Speaking of Natalie, I’m really excited about some things on the horizon with her and several other artists that we are working with.  Big things are happening.
  • I’ve got three meetings in the next two days which brings me back to why I’m glad that people still take Sundays off.
  • I’m planning on buying a new pair of jeans this week and I’m a little stressed about the whole thing.  I’m bad at ordering a sandwich, let alone picking out something that I have to wear as often as a pair of jeans.
  • Tom Cruise is about to get his eyes replaced and it’s really distracting me from typing this.
  • Isn’t basketball on yet?
  • Pineapple juice is good.

Have a great Sunday folks.  What’s on your mind?

Welcome to Sunday.  I’m currently sitting on a bus driving home.  I think we are somewhere in Louisiana or Alabama headed toward Nashville, but I’m ready to be home.  This wraps up my first week of the ‘country scene’ and it’s much like I expected, in a good way.  Anyway, if you are new to Stats Suck Sunday, here’s the idea.  All of our stats will suck because it’s Sunday, so here’s the opportunity to throw out randomness that you don’t really care if anyone reads.  The point?  There isn’t one.  Here goes.

  • I woke up this morning afternoon excited that it’s NBA Playoff time.  Since our Kings aren’t anywhere to be found, and San Antonio is done, I’ve got to go with Dallas.  Although Atlanta looked good today.
  • I have had congestion and a cough since the middle of The Roadshow tour and I’m beginning to think it’s either allergies or something that needs antibiotics.  Either way it’s pretty annoying.
  • Louisiana roads suck.  Especially in the back of a bus.
  • Marines that spin the guns around like they are batons kind of weirds me out.  It’s like the ultimate juxtaposition of manly and not.  I don’t really know how to take it.
  • I didn’t realize Denver was such a good basketball team.  They have lots of tattoos.
  • I watched about forty-five seconds of the Kentucky Derby yesterday and was pretty fascinated by the pink horse come all the way from the back to win.  Then the TV turned off.
  • Marines twirling guns is sort of like the singer that screams and looks really tough.  I mean yeah, you look tough and all, but lets face it… you’re still a singer.  That’s like one step up from being a dancer.  How tough are you really?
  • There are literally five bottles of squeezable grape jelly in the fridge of this bus.  Five.  Grape.
  • So far it’s been a great week out here with these guys.  I love how no matter what tour you are on, you are all in it together, and have each other’s backs.  Sure it’s different than the Christian market, but there are some very similar things that make it nice.
  • Denver is putting the hurt on Dallas right now and I keep getting caught up in the game and this post has taken me about an hour to write.

Yep.  Thanks for stopping by.  You all know the rules.  Write up your SSS post on your blog and fill out the box below if you want to be involved.  Sound good?  Here goes.

  • Today we decided to skip church and hang out as a family.  It’s been almost two months of me traveling, and us running in different directions, and it felt like it was time to do that.
  • The Franklin Festival is amazingly expensive to ‘walk around’ at.  Five dollar corn dog?  Really?
  • Last night with Billy went well.  Completely out of my element, but I think that will only make me work harder.
  • Working on my fourth cup of coffee today.  Seems like I should be really awake.
  • The garden Kristin planted a few weeks ago is starting to show signs of life.
  • Still trying to figure out the whole ‘Cupcake Craze’.  I think it bothers Kristin more than me, but we both think it’s a little silly.
  • I’ve decided that this week is a week of getting organized, so we’ll see how that goes.
  • Organization is not my strong point.
  • It’s been a while since I have done a Stats Suck Sunday post, but it’s been cool to see both this and Positive Post Tuesday continue to some level.
  • I wish the font that I was typing this in, actually showed up like this when I published it to my blog.
  • Fresh basil is awesome.
  • Seriously, who would have thought two years ago that Cupcakes would be the new awesome trendy thing?
  • I’ve been really wanting to see the third ‘X-Men’ movie for a while now.  I might need to go get that.
  • Haven’t Cupcakes been around forever?
  • I met Dane from The Biggest Loser last night.  He looked good and supposedly ran a marathon yesterday.  A marathon where someone died running it.
  • I bet Dane from The Biggest Loser doesn’t eat trendy Cupcakes.  I should have asked him.
  • Two different ice cream trucks have come into our cul-de-sac in the past hour.  I think we’ve been targeted.
  • This list is long and probably pretty annoying.

Welcome to Sunday.  Our stats will suck, but we all have random stuff to say.  What’s on your mind today?  The rules are simple.  Write your bullet point random thoughts on your blog.  Fill out the box below.  Sounds easy right?  Ready?  Go.

Well technically it’s still Sunday so I wanted to make sure I snuck on here and got it going.  Welcome to Sunday night.  I’m currently on a bus outside of Denver.  Or maybe I’m inside of Denver, but regardless I’m on the bus and it’s dark outside.  Today’s already been a pretty long day but I’m really excited about getting going.  And speaking of getting going…. This is Stats Suck Sunday

    • This bus is freezing.  More blankets will be put in my bed, that’s for sure.
    • I’m missing Kristin and the boys already.  This is going to be a long first run.
    • If you aren’t yet, make sure you are following The Roadshow on Twitter.  It’s gonna be a crazy ride.
    • I’m currently discussing the “Brody talking in front of people” part of the show.  I’m still a little freaked out about it but I think I’m ready.
    • Marlon (MercyMe’s Merch guy) is making us all watch sports on the bus.  Something like World Baseball or something.  I’m ignoring it, and him.
    • We’ve got a rehearsal day tomorrow in Billings, MT, I’ve got a couple videos to make, a “Top Secret” plan to get in place, and some internet to track down.  Lots to do.
    • Just noticed that I am about to cross into 900 followers on Twitter.  I better think of something awesome to say one of these days.
    • Professional surfers are funny.
    • It’s getting late and I need to find some more blankets.  See you all tomorrow.

That’s it folks.  Hope you all had a great Sunday.  I’m already tired and hope I can sleep well tonight.  The first night on the bus and the first night home are always rough for me to get to sleep.  And the longer the post goes, the more boring it gets.  And for that I apologize.

Welcome to Sunday.  We all know the rules here.  Random stuff we talk about in bullet points because our stats suck and we aren’t afraid to admit it.  Write your own random list on your blog and fill out the box below.  Go ahead.  Give it a shot.  It’s therapeutic really.  Here goes.

      • If you haven’t seen this yet, you need to.
      • Woke up to a Winter wonderland outside today and have every intention of playing outside in it today.  I make a mean snowball.
      • Debating shaving my head this morning just to make things that much easier.  This always happens.
      • I think I may have thought myself into having a cold.  I was worried about it right when I woke up and by the time I stood up, my throat hurt.  It could have had something to do with a two year old coughing on my face all night.
      • Tomorrow starts probably the busiest time of the year for me, beginning with a couple pretty massive meetings then off to California on Tuesday morning, then driving back and having a couple days to get ready for The Roadshow, which leads right up to GMA Week, and eventually The Doves.  Told you it was busy.
      • Kristin and I finally got around to watching the most recent “Biggest Loser” last night and I couldn’t get over how cheesy the ‘emotional changing trainers’ part was.  Maybe I just don’t get it.
      • We’ve got at least two blog launches this week that I think will be pretty cool additions to the SkörInc family.  One you know about, one you might not.
      • I read last night that the release of a second Postal Service record is ‘unlikely’.  That makes me sad, even if there is tons of snow outside.
      • Taxes.
      • I’ve managed to escape Cooper jumping on my computer three times now.  Luckily I have reflexes like a slow, overweight cat.
      • I think it’s funny that the Higglytown Heroes people hide things inside themselves. Wouldn’t that be weird if your body could be used as storage too?  I think I’d be afraid of leaving something perishable in there like a sandwich or something.
      • It’s time to stop.

So let’s hear what’s on your minds today.  You get snow last night?

Welcome to Sunday.  You all know how this works, and if you don’t, it’s simple.  Write random things that are on your mind on your blog, and then fill out the box at the bottom.  The point?  There isn’t one.  It’s just a time for randomness, and to throw things out that don’t merit an entire blog post.  Think of it as a bunch of Tweets all at once.  You ready?

      • It’s cold here this morning.  Like twenty-six degrees cold.
      • I just saw the longest Hannah Montana movie preview ever.  Apparently she gets in trouble for throwing a shoe at someone and figures out she likes horses and cowboys.  See I just saved you ten bucks.
      • The ’special feature’ on the SkörInc site didn’t happen last week, because we’ve been slammed and didn’t get to it, but be looking for that soon.
      • Our neighbor across the street has become a rocket scientist, which completely opens the “it doesn’t take a rocket scientist” joke wide open.
      • Here’s something funny for the three of you in the world that missed this video of a lady throwing a fit because she missed a flight.
      • Kristin and I were completely taken back by how many Hooters there were in the Memphis area.  Seems like we past five or six of them.
      • I’m wondering how many people were hesitant to click on that Hooters link up there.
      • I’m still praying for all the folks in my previous post that said that they were Lakers fans.  I’m not entirely sure that you can be a Christian and still like the Lakers, but I guess we all have things we are embarrassed about.
      • Blue has literally asked for breakfast a hundred and thirty times.  I’m about to freak out.
      • Coffee is calling.
      • Still waiting to hear who’s hosting Positive Post Tuesday this week.  Email me if you are interested.

That’s it for today folks.  There might be something else later today but I wanted to get this going.  So lets hear it.  What’s the randomness on your mind today?  Ready?  Go.

Welcome to sunday.  You all know how this works, and if you don’t this is the day where random things floating around in my head end up on here because really, who’s reading blogs on Sunday?  Feel free to join in on your own Stats Suck Sunday by writing something random on your blog and filling out the box below.  The point is, there’s no point.  So here we go.

      • First up I want to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday.  You are all too kind.  Next year maybe we can have a big nationwide birthday party all meeting in some remote part of Nebraska.
      • Had an amazing date with Kristin last night.  Sushi and my favorite person in the world make for a great night.
      • I had an idea this week for a contest on this here blog with a pretty awesome (to some people) prize.  I was going to announce it today, but since Stats Suck on Sundays, I think I will wait till tomorrow.  You are going to want to be a part of this one though.
      • For those that missed it on Twitter, on our way to our date Kristin and I stopped in at Old Navy in Brentwood yesterday and in the middle of trying on a pair of pants I saw this on the floor.  Nothing says a ‘romantic Valentine’s Day’ than a secret meeting in the Old Navy dressing room I suppose.
      • Kristin and I left Old Navy quickly after that.
      • We are still gearing up for The Rock & Worship Roadshow and the more we get into it the more excited I get about it’s online activity.  It’s gonna be big.
      • Hopefully this week we will have a new special resource feature on the SkörInc site so be looking for that.  We should also have a new Preview up this week for you to check out.
      • Kyle bought an iPhone last night, and that excites me.
      • Mickey Mouse has gotten weird over the years.
      • My friend Levi, has been a long time nay-sayer of Twitter and has now decided to give it a shot.  Follow him @levibenkert because he thinks Twitter is pointless and dumb.  I think we can prove him wrong.
      • I’m meeting with a country star this week.  Yep, a real live country star.  I suppose I should listen to some country music before that meeting.

There it is peeps.  The random things floating around in my head.  All that and it’s only 8:30.  Have a great Sunday.  Let me know the randomness that you’ve got going on.

      Ready?  Go.
