How Do You Browse?

So, I’ve been playing around with different browsers recently, and I wanted to throw this out there. Up to this point I’ve been a pretty loyal Safari guy and here’s why. My reasoning is totally shallow and completely ‘un-tech’, but I don’t care. I figure if I’m using Safari on my Mac, wouldn’t I go with Apple’s browser? And to take it a step further, I’m using Safari on my phone (because it’s Mac’s browser). Consistency right? Well this past week I’ve been having some issues with Safari and I’ve been playing with some different browsers landing on Google Chrome.

Now I’m not completely sold on it yet, but it has taken it’s permanent place in my computers dock, so we’ll see what happens. It’s throwing me off a little just because I’m so used to things, but I’m kind of liking it.

What browsers are you using? Any argument why I should be using one over the other or is it just a preference thing?

I’m old school I guess, but Firefox and Safari have been good to me. Have been meaning to try Chrome but not yet..

  2. I’ve used google chrome ever since its first release. I am a firefox guy. But since then I have been back and forth because I like using chrome with its simplicity and speed. I would have to say that from my experience it seems that chrome would no doubt win first place in a speed race of all browsers. I now use chrome for my casual web browsing, facebook, googling, and stuff like that. But I still use firefox for web development and when I want extra browsing security. Like making purchases. For some reason firefox makes me feel safe. :) I believe that it is still the most secure browser. That’s my take :)

  3. I’m with Mick…I started with Firefox [I'm trying to forgot that entire period of time that I was an IE user], and loved how customizable it was. It has a lot of awesome add-ons which allows you to make Firefox pretty much anything you want it to be, to fit your needs/preferences. However, it is SOOOO slow compared to Google Chrome. I’m low maintenance, so I didn’t really need a ton of Firefox add-ons. But I have little patience, and loved the speed. Ergo, I made a permanent switch to Chrome [which is actually getting some cool extensions of its own].

And did I mention it was FAST? (:
