I’m With The Band
Okay, so this might be more directed to the ‘music-y’ type of person, but I’ve got a question for you.
Past or present, what one band would you love to be a member of… excluding The Beatles. Yeah, that’s right. You can’t chose The Beatles.
Now, obviously this has very little to do with the actual personality of the band you chose, unless you know them personally, but more of the style of music they play, venues they play, sweet rocker clothes they wear, ect. You know… all the shallow stuff that makes you want to be in their band.
So let’s hear it. If you could be in one band (excluding The Beatles) what band would you choose?
Ready? Go.

Wouldn’t have picked The Beatles anyway. Tough choice. Beach Boys or the Eagles.
I wish I could be a BarlowGirl…or in U2.
Marky Mark and the FunkyBunch, cause they probably had great T-shirts. Like:
Don’t mess with Da Bunch.
We’re badder than the Brady’s.
What’s Funkier than the bunch? Nothin’
I rest my case.
Spinal Tap.
If I were looking to laugh and praise…Hand’s down MercyMe. If I were looking to ‘rock’, Collective Soul. If I were looking to get my ‘twang’ on, Rascal Flatts.
Assuming I am magically an amazing musician, Rage Against the Machine, minus the political talks.
Rhythm guitarist for U2 so the Edge wouldn’t have to play to loops. Maybe with the house band from the Buena Vista Social Club because Cuban music rocks. Waiting on the call from Mute Math when they need a Theramin player for tour.
The Band
If Lacey from Flyleaf decided to not do the music thing anymore, I would totally be game for taking her place fronting that band. Same thing with No Doubt if Gwen Stefani decided the solo thing is where it’s at.
I would also have to say Fleetwood Mac or The Mamas & The Papas, because both those groups had some killer harmonies.
Creed.
Wait, no. Probably Aerosmith.
What an awesome question. I’m torn here. Part of me wants to say Sister Hazel, because I simply love Sister Hazel. Also part of me wants to say Jars of Clay for the same exact reason. Same with Needtobreathe. And also Addison Road, but not just cause I love their music, but because the members seem awesome. I really only semi-know Jenny and Ryan Gregg, but from the podcasts, I believe the rest are also awesome. If I knew how to play the drums, I’d definitely be putting up an audition video.
Then parts of me want to say the cute musicians like Krystal Meyers, BarlowGirl, Hana Pestle, etc… because there’s definitely something about a cute girl with an amazing voice… but I don’t believe I’ll waste my answer on those because there’s definitely more to it than that.
Based on music alone, I guess maybe MercyMe. Most of the songs I sing in church are their songs anyway. Based on friendly companionship, Addison Road. Based on cute girlness, I’d say… Krystal Meyers. I wanted to say Hana Pestle, but I think I’d have to stick with Christian music.
My flesh chooses Bon Jovi.
I’d want to tour with Chris Tomlin.
Dave Matthews Band
Five Iron Frenzy.
Portorikan!!! There was a good couple years of my life where I would have agreed with you about Five Iron Frenzy. Still sad they split up!
Yeah, me too, but I’m glad they went out with a bang and not a fizzle. Flew all the way to Green Bay, Wisconsin to catch them on their last tour (from Florida… not ready for that kind of weather in November). They’re putting together a DVD thing though that I’m looking to pick up once it’s out. Should be good.
yeah, i saw that. isn’t it called something like The Rise and Fall of Five Iron Frenzy? I can’t wait for it. And that’s awesome that you got to catch them. That tour was before I was much of a concert goer, but I considered going to the last stop of the tour in Colorado. I’m from South Louisiana, and that woulda definitely been the furthest I’ve gone for a concert. Pretty much I stay in south Louisiana.
Metallica or Iron Maiden. Why? Because at heart I have always been a rocker who’s music motto is if it ain’t loud and in your face then it’s boring.
It would be Journey back when Steve Perry was the lead singer.
