Well, my first self-hosted site is still new, so not a lot of conversation yet going on.

But, the aim of it is to engage and encourage people to come together, using their unique gifts, to serve the least of these. For me, it would be music...so I will share about that. For others, it could be art, photography, plumbing, etc....the fact is that we're all gifted somehow, and we each have a place in making things on earth as it is in heaven.

I titled one of my blogs Endeavor in Edification - so I hope it's positive! I wish I would write more on it, though. http://skudfripsu.wordpress.com

I would hope that my blog would encourage to live out His will, not our will.

A year ago I really had no idea what a blog was. To me it had no purpose in my life. I didn't read them. Didn't comment (see what you've "created"?). Could have cared less.

Then I "met" you and many of the above. I named my blog after one of those cliches you find in 12 step programs. "living life on life's terms". I have been a slacker, though. I am Queen Procrastinator! It's funny. I was thinking on Monday that my blog wasn't going in the direction I first wanted. But, it hasn't evolved either. I have decided to try a daily post. However short. There is a daily meditation I read daily. It's usually full of common sense ways of handling what life throws at you. It works for addicts as well as non-addicts.

You have fun with your blog, but you also talk about tough things. You ask tough questions. Mostly, though, you keep it light. Thanks.

I want my blog to be an encouragement to others in their walk with Christ. When people begin to use their blog as a soapbox, I tend to get turned off. I just stopped following a blog because of the level of selfpity, negativity, and drama constantly flowing off the page.

I am really glad you took the high road. Considering someone popular could easily have retweeted what ever you had to say, it would have just fueled dissention -- something Satan would have enjoyed.

Props to you and Kristen. I read you both daily and enjoy it very much!

I just think that no matter what a blog is about, it shouldn't be used to put down other people, even if it's a legitimate issue. It's the same as the words we speak, and the bible has a lot to say about that.

My blog is a place that I can focus on what I am grateful for, most of the time my family. I try real hard to not use it to put other people down. (and if I do, please call me on that!)

This topic has been on my heart for weeks! I've struggled with the thought of only sharing spiritual thoughts and comments verses political commentary. I believe my spiritual & political values are inline with each other Biblically, but many people respond negatively to my political comments. Should I believe in Gods greater plan and not be politically involved? I'm not happy with many things our Government is doing but sometimes want to stay quiet so people are more open to my spiritual thoughts. I would welcome any thoughts on this issue. Again, thanks Brody for all you do!

Great thoughts Brody! My blog touches on my life and its intersections with Christ. How he is teaching me through this life and His word. It also includes those random things, of course like SSS. It's soon to include some other topics as well concerning outward beauty and the media.

BTW I'm still a big fan of the + symbol on tweets and other status updates.

I have 2 blogs. One is about my life and my experiences and how God is molding me as and individual through those experiences including my trials. I use scripture as my reference point, and what God does through my experiences is always relevant in my blog.

The other one, GodsAnvil, is, I hope, an encouragement to other believers in their struggles and trials as they discover that God fulfills His promises regardless of our circumstances. By looking at various scriptures we can easily discover that God intends trials to be part of our molding process. I explain these scriptures through my experiences and my eyes, ones that have seen many trials. My desire is to help others realize that Gods plan is to mold us, and He does that constantly, fulfilling His promises as He does.

I would love to see my blog be remembered as a positive thing. In a way I was trying to speak what was not as though it were in naming in SunnySide. Really, it was through the MM chats that that name kind of 'stuck' to me. Became my handle if you will. Strange though, because I am definitely a negative person who fights DAILY to be positive. I don't always win either. Maybe that's why it's so easy to 'get' you and what you are about. I'm like you in that I see the negative all the time and want to call it out, but I know there's a positive way to go about it. It took years for me to train myself to speak positive in my classroom (use walking feet vs. no running, use your inside voice vs. stop shouting) It will probably take me a lifetime to work on training myself to be a glass half full kind of person.
I for one appreciate your transparency.
