A Night With Steven Curtis Chapman (Again)
So, if you remember the other day I had that ‘super secret project’ that turned out to be not as much of a ‘secret’ so I blogged about it? Well, tonight is sort of a ’round two’ of that only this one isn’t secret at all. This is a full blown broadcasted evening with Steven Curtis Chapman. Turns out the other one went so well that they wanted to do it again, and called me back.
So tonight at 9PM Steven will be playing some songs, talking about his record that came out today and answering some questions all from the World Wide Internetland. Now, I’m going to warn you though. When he starts talking about the songs and meaning behind this record I promise you will choke up. So guys, if you want to be all manly and junk watching it, just make sure you have some sunglasses next to you so no one can see you like Rocky Balboa did in Rocky 4.
Seriously though, take an hour tonight and head over to Steven’s Facebook page and check out his amazing story of loss and recovery through the making of this record. It will blow your mind. I’m honored to be a part of it.

All day & no one has commented? Wow!
First of all, you are one busy guy! Not just in a “geeky” sort of way! I get teary-eyed (yes) just thinking back over the past year & what has gone on in my life. One little ole MM concert last fall. Only the 4th or 5th time to see them. I feel a little “mom” when I see everything you (and Randy) have accomplished over the year I have followed this little blog & all it’s activities!
Back to today! Your day is so overwhelming for me! Too many releases, not enough $$$. I had to choose, so I had to go SCC today. The Shane’s can wait, Michael & PFOR will have to wait.
I love the mostly acoustic sound of SCC’s CD. It keeps the sound clean & the words easier for my ears to hear. Can’t pick a fav song yet. They are all so personal, passionate, and uplifting. Like dc*b with “Remedy” in the wake of Kyle’s death in 2005. Getting through absolutely anything that we face with the Hands of God.
I, too, am honored to be a part of the faithful.
Well done tonight, Brody.
My wife and I enjoyed “sitting in” sipping our CFA Dr. Peppers. She had tears in her eyes. I had to act cool, of course. And was unsuccessful. His struggles are hard to hear, especially for parents of 8 and 5 year old boys like us.
We’re awaiting our LOA from China to travel to meet our daughter. So the activities of the Chapman family are of special interest to us.
Keep up the great work!
