Pre-Order Phil’s ‘Heaven & Earth’

pre_order_phil_wickham

Starting today you can pre-order and download Phil Wickham’s ‘Heaven & Earth’.  The record isn’t scheduled to release until November 17th, but if you order the record for $25 you can get an immediate download, an acoustic version of the same record, a t-shirt and a hard copy mailed to you when it comes out.  Not a bad deal right?

Now, I know this is a pretty anticipated record and I’m excited to see what happens with it.  Phil is truly has of the best voices I’ve heard, and he’s got a pretty unique songwriting style.  But you already knew that.

So here’s what we are going to do.  Head over to Phil’s site and download the record and come back here and let me know what you think.  Oh yeah, and I heard there’s some other new things coming from Phil concerning his website soon.  Be on the lookout for that too.

So, did you get it?

  1. Got it! Love it!!!

At first listen, I’ll say “I’ll Always Love You” is making it into our team’s songbook.

    Good stuff.

  2. I love how “fan friendly” Phil is. I normally wouldn’t be too interested in dropping 25 on a record, but getting it now AND getting an acoustic version of the record out of the deal – no brainer!

  3. I just ordered it and got it downloading now. I’m stoked! I didn’t read, is the Acoustic album in with the digital download too?

  4. ok… i guess had i waited for it to download i wouldn’t have had to ask about the acoustic album

Just listened to both the full and acoustic albums all the way through, and I’ve got to say that this is a sure spot of hope in tough times. Aside from “Because of Your Love”, I don’t know that I could use any of these tracks for congregationtional worship at our church, but every track has a measure of openness and dedication to the presence of God flowing in it.

“Hold On” and “Safe” are great encouragements for the days we’re in, and “Your Arrival”, “In Your City”, and “Heaven & Earth” are hope-laden tracks of what’s to come.

Musically, I love the variation in beats, well-placed (and sometimes surprising) effects on the bass/electric guitars, and “presence’y” feeling of the synth tracks.

I can’t wait to get out of the office and hear this in the car!

I love it!! I was so happy he included an acoustic version. I love the raw unedited not over-produced sound-just the guitar and vocals. perfect and totally worth the money!

  7. I’m a little late with this reply, but yeah I got it :) The second Phil tweeted that it was available, I jumped over to his site and bought it! Love it!!!

I have to admit, as I was playing it through, I got stuck on Safe. Listened to that one over and over! Phil + Bart = pure awesomeness! Their voices blend so well together on that song!

Eventually, I did move on to the rest of the album :p and it’s just as good as the first half. And I LOVE the acoustic album as well.
