Tennessee Aquarium
Most of you know, but the last couple days we have been down in Chattanooga visiting the Tennessee Aquarium and all the other things that there are to do down there. It was awesome to get away for a couple days and ignore most of our responsibilities and just hang out.
I’ve always been a sucker for aquariums. Back when we lived in California we would frequent the Monterey Bay Aquarium and a few years ago we spent Thanksgiving at the Atlanta Aquarium. There’s something about all those weird looking fish that I really dig.
Anyway, these are a few pictures from the first day of our trip. I haven’t gotten the pictures from the second day off the camera yet, but those are of our visit to Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. It was a full two days, but pretty awesome.
Anyone else taken any family trips this summer? Where’d you go?

We’re too poor this summer to go anywhere. We are going to Austin next week to drive to Waco to get Amanda’s stuff out of storage and go back to Austin to move her into her permanent (at least for a year) address. Does that count? It’s a family activity!

Oh my goodness! I love the picture of Cooper with the penguin! I have a thing for penguins. Kristin is so very pretty.
Our summer hasn’t been much fun for anyone thanks to my surgery, but we do have one camping trip planned for the beginning of August, but then it’s right back to school. Oh, and we have to sell this house, but a new one, and move sometime in the next 5 weeks. Thus, no real vacations.
I love aquariums too they can be fascinating. Kristin is beautiful and that is a great pic of her. And that is a really good pic of all 3 of your boys.
Haven’t had much time for vacation with work and all. However, we are leaving in the morning and going for a mini vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a long weekend. That will be all the vacation we will do this summer because its back to work and back to school on August 10th.
No family vacations here. It costs too much for 9 people to get off island. I am planning one in 2010 with the hubby only; no kids!
my daughter & i are headed to NYC 7/29/09 to visit my son (moved there 3 years ago with Jon Tyson to start Origins NYC, now Trinity Grace Church) and go to rockthesoundNYC 2-day concert series with 16 bands, including Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, Phil Wickham, Shane & Shane and many more. won meet & greet with CC. My first trip to NYC. i’m so glad you were able to get away with Kristin and the boys for a few days. we lived in Cleveland, Tn. for 8 years before moving back home to Franklin,Tn 11 years ago. safe travels for you & yours. love your blog, tweets and pics!+
I was just at the Tennessee Aquarium a few weeks ago when I drove up there to visit family. It was pretty sweet. It’s times like those that I wish I had a better camera. Ruby Falls was awesome the last time I went, but that was several years ago. I love to travel, but rarely have the resources. Such is the life of a poor college student.
