Jamming In The Valley
This is how I’m spending my 4th of July. I’m in the bus parked next to a field that will soon fill up with camping, up-state New Yorkers ready to party the night away with Billy and Gary Allan at this thing called Jam In The Valley. It’s actually a really nice day outside considering. I’ve heard it’s been raining all week and the field is a huge mud pit, but backstage is pretty cleans and nice, so I’m good. And I heard that the fireworks show here is pretty impressive.
So a big ‘ol Happy Forth of July to everyone out there. Try not to blow off your fingers or anything.
What’s your plans for the Forth?

You could kill time learning a new craft. How to make cowboy hats out of cardboard. Have a blessed day. Hope the weather holds out.
BTW love the sunset (or sunrise) pic from the bus.

We are on the Bay in Freeport FL spendin’ time with friends with LOTS of itty bitties runnin’ around. Then off to sling the liquor tonight maybe not SOOOO many Mojitos tonight, fireworks show should be off the hook on the Gulf of Mexico approx. $1000. Per minute with a 25-30 min. Show (in years past anyway). Boys r comin’ up 2 see me woo hoo
My plans… I worked from 4am-11:30. I think I’m pretty much done for the day. Right now I’m listening to Needtobreathe… does that count as plans? They put out a single last month called “Lay ‘Em Down” and it’s pretty much amazing. +
Well got up at 8 this morning and took my daughter to swim lessons. We are going to chill for a while in the A/C and wait for my husband who is deployed to get online so we can talk to him and wish him a Happy 4th. Then later we are going to a friends to BB-Q and shoot fireworks.
Either fishing or launching rockets at the park. Maybe both!
Later, visiting with the inlaws and my old youth pastor.
After that, if I still have any energy left, heading to Roseville for fireworks.
I’ll be working on a slide show presentation of the missions trip & prepare what I’m going to share on Sunday morning in front of the church. It’s really hard to do this when you’re jet lagged!
Our church is also having a big shin dig w/ line dancing, chili cook-off & other stuff, but I’m just gonna make an appearance for a little while. No time to party today.
Happy 4th of July!
I’m headed to the Brickell’s 4th party! Friends, pool, sun, food, fireworks! I just made chocolate covered strawberries to share! Yesterday and today were my only days off in 3 weeks Sunday morning its back to work for week 2 of Camp Electric.
We do not have any plans just staying home and taking it easy. I did grill some ribs, actually I just got them off the grill and they are delicious if I do say so myself. Enjoy the fireworks tonight.
This has been topsy turvy weekend. Our plans, plus how they panned out:
–Alannah was to go see fireworks with a friend Thursday night. Post-poned until Sunday
–We were supposed to go to friends’ house last night and tent it in their yard over night. Nah.
–Today was “recovery day” from last night’s party. No chance we were going to the “picnic in the park” in Batavia. Just got back from there. May go back into Batavia tonight to see the Muckdogs (minor league baseball team) post-game fireworks.
And yes, Brody, you will see a great fireworks display tonight. The guy’s been doing it over-the-top for years.
Some crazy fireworks, chicken on the grill in your cul-de-sac. Wish you were here.
The 4th for me includes hanging out with my 8 year old since mupi2k has a show to do! We will attempt to watch the towns fireworks show from behind our place. That is now questionable since at the moment, 2 hours b4 the show, the wind and rain are more then they would allow for putting them off.
