Over 500
The numbers are misleading really. See, while you saw the number 500 under the screen of The Rock And Worship Live Broadcast, the actual amount of people watching for the last night of the tour was quite a bit more. There’s a weird delay when logging the ‘total’ number of viewers any specific night and the actual number was 15,103 people watching the show! What? 15,000 people?? That’s almost enough to get Bart to shave his head too.
So, anyway. Right after the show we all went back to MercyMe’s dressing room and they started in. Bart and Mike with clippers, Nathan with scissors and Barry with (literally) a pocket knife hacking away. About an hour later and here we are.
Now, originally the plan was to wait until after The Dove Awards, but Bart wouldn’t allow it. So now, walking around GMA Week yesterday no one recognized me, even if I had just gotten off the bus with them that morning.
Yes, we do have video of the whole ordeal and it will be posted at some point over on the MercyMe blog, but for now here’s a quick picture. Thanks to everyone who showed up to make the last night of the tour the biggest night online. You people are amazing.

It was so great to meet you and Kyle. This entire experience with you all has been beyond words. I just keep thinking about all the new friends, the blessings, and the sweet fellowship with the Lord…it’s all been beyond words. I feel like I’m overflowing with joy. God is SO GOOd!

500 or 15000–they were all blessed by the fact that you were willing to do what God asked you to do! Thank you for the ministry that you put together to make it possible for more people to hear Gods message of hope and grace. 15000 people heard about Gods love mercy and grace that night who were not in that venue because you were obedient to His calling and are following His leading. Thank you Brody for being who God has called you to be.
When you look at your head in the mirror see it as a reminder of the impact you are having because you are doing what God has asked you to do.
Not that we will be able to tell, you wear a hat all the time anyway! I think the deal should have been the haircut PLUS no hats for a month!

Web Nerd Brody (I can’t believe Bart calls you that)…Sheering your coconut to look like Curly from the Three Stooges is a very courageous act and all of us from the R&WRS ‘Fellowship Chat’ thank you for your hard work and dedication. It is weird how big of a fan club you have formed from your work…those around you who are famous, and those more remote ‘cyber’ friends. Just think…no bad hair days for a while, imagine all of the shampoo you will save, and you have to admit you like it when everybody rubs your head (people feel empowered to do that when people lose their hair for some reason).
On a more serious note, my daughter (Christine – 11) has gotten the biggest kick out of you making this commitment to cut your hair. She was with me in E. Lansing when I met you and she was bald for over a year during cancer treatments. She loved the idea of you cutting your hair off ‘for a cause’.
You are such a trooper Brody. Again, I can’t thank you enough for everything that you did to bring us the live stream & chat. Also, for getting us to talk to the artists too; that TOTALLY personalized the tour. Thanks for everything Brody.
You set a precedence for next year…now we gotta come up with something even more drastic and double our numbers! Whether it was one person or a million…we were all touched in an amazing way by the work God did thru RAWRS. Thank you for the part you played…whats a lil hair anyway…its overrated!
