  1. Praise the Lord Jesus Forever, thanks for sharing this short bit Brody about your expierence today in Baton Rouge

  2. Heartbreaking and Sobering.

How can we see Jesus so differently?

Father, help us. Help us LOVE.

What an awesome way to take it…I cant imagine what it felt like to have that while you were waiting in line for that concert…but obviously it didnt stop God from accomplishing a work there…We will pray for those protestors…God so loves them!!!

As someone from Northern Ireland, I’m familiar with that kind of environment – anything that is made after 1690 is of the devil.

Very, very sad – I’m sure he means well, but he’s wrong, sorry. I once got told that there were no drums in heaven – I think some people are in for a bit of a shock.

Methods may vary, but the message never changes. If Jesus gets lifted up, then He WILL draw all people unto Him – that’s the only thing we need to be cautious about, and endeavour to never ever EVER compromise on.

Brody! Thanks for including the last part. We aren’t very proud of what happened tonight outside the arena, but we stand amazed at God’s awesome power inside the arena.

Plus, I could see me in the front row! It was good to meet you before the show. :)

  6. when the dude starts talking into the camera around 1:14, he sounds like a heel professional wrestler from the 80′s

  7. dan

Macho man randy savage of protesting, for sure.

  8. Thanks for sharing, Brody!

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

  9. I don’t get it, WHAT were they against? It’s been bugging me all day. None of the bands on stage even said anything against the Bible. I wish i was there to ask what exactly they were against. I wish I was there to remind them of David and how he said he would worship his God how he sees wishes to.

Oh, and I can’t believe he was against parents bringing their children. he should be rejoicing that families are coming together to worship God together at this awesome event.

Wahtever, I shall pray for them. I’m glad none of you guys got hurt and let this get to ya.

Take joy my King in what you hear…keep going Brody. Thank you that you let the person speak for himself and just played wonderful, sweet music over it, that was all that needed to be said, and thank you for not answering him in anger. You are a wonderful role model. God bless you. And may God open his eyes…

  11. That makes me unbelievably sad. Praying!

  12. Yeah, I’m with Janet, why are they protesting, or what are they protesting about? I’ve seen similar protestors at one of The Call Events and I think even at a Billy Graham Crusades, of all things, both at the Rose Bowl(location, not the game) when I was in college. That’s the question I have, after being frustrated with their approach and message.

I’m a firm believer in Christian music and Christian concerts being a safe place for our youth, and for families.

:( I just don’t get it. I get the point your making, but what are they actually against?

  13. I went back and paused on some of those signs…so they’re accusing the bands of being false prophets/teachers? Umm…okay. I can understand the danger of idolatry…but that comes in many forms…even in personal relationships.

Sigh. Fallen people, fallen world. That’s all of us.

  14. You know…not everybody is a crackpot down here; they don’t represent the whole…but of course you already knew that. Thank you for bringing us the Roadshow, Brody.

  15. Joe Grant

Wow… That was quite a rant. It makes me wonder how that effected the “Seekers” of Jesus who were standing in that line last night. There is no doubt that the Lord’s work was done last night, but did this group close down some seeker’s heart before hearing the message of the bands inside. Did those seekers walk in there thinking that, “if I accept Jesus as my Savior am I going to turn into this…?” This kind of stuff breaks my heart. Christians railing against Christians when it’s seemingly unfounded. Wow.

I’ve watched six nights of the RAWRS so far on this tour. I’ve heard nothing but the very simple gospel laid out by the bands that have been allowed to stream. My heart has been lifted by the mission of the RAWRS.

  16. Seriously?

Well put together Brody. Sorry you had to deal with that.

    Crazy.

  17. I have to admit it. At first I really didn’t want to watch this because it made me cringe so much. But I’m glad you put the last part in. That brought it full circle, for sure. Reminds me a bit of the “Bullhorn” Nooma by Rob Bell.

  18. Erin

I think it says it all Brody.. Good job!

  19. I got chills watching this video. I never knew God actually meant yell, when he said “Love your neighbors” or that he meant condemn when he said “Do not judge, lest you be judged”

Sometimes I have a question mark in my head about whether people read the same Bible. It’s confusing, but it’s sad to see the lack of joy has been squashed because of the thought that they must be “above” the rest instead of loving the rest.

  20. Watching that made me sick to my stomach.

  21. P.S. I’d like to know why he’s so angry.

  22. I am humbled by what the Lord is doing. Thank you so much Brody for your wisdom and vision. May the Lord continue to bless the Road Show as you continue to follow Him.

    Much love, son…Mom

  23. very sad.

loved how the video ends…you took something terrible and found a way to encourage us in our relationship with the Lord.

you guys are doing a good work for Jesus.

    blessings.

  24. I’m not gonna lie – it’s hard to love people like that. Thanks for the challenge. Y’all are doing an awesome job.

  25. tam

    unbelievable.

all i can seem to do is cry.

  26. Mmm – so sad. So sad to think of what those protesters are missing…

  27. Practically speechless here. I never would have imagined you would be facing THIS kind of thing on THAT tour. Confusing. Disturbing.

  28. Wow! That’s NUTS. I saw your tweets yesterday about protestors … didn’t realize they were protesting the road show. Watching that video makes me boil inside. Grrr

  29. Paisley

Unbelievable, that people will judge others without even knowing anything about the people they are judging. They should have at least went to one of the concerts and they would have left with a different heart. So sad.

  30. Laura Anderson

Sad, just terribly sad. He obviously believes it and is willing to risk it all for what he believes, but it’s just so out of alignment with the Word of God.

    Very sad…

  31. DeeDee

Wonderful video, Brody…I love how you ended it with the audience singing “I Love You Lord” … beautiful. :)

There are lots of wonderful words from the Apostle Paul that I could quote in regard to the protesters, but I would just be preaching to the choir. My heart aches for people who are bound by such legalism…if only they understood what freedom in Christ really is!

  32. Gaetano

    Brody,
What a trip… I actually admire their conviction to what they believe…. their willingness to forgo the embarassment of public humiliation…for themselves and others… all for what they believe so strongly about… Yet I also believe that if we are to feed the birds in the park, then we must do it by throwing small bits of bread away from us to allow the birds to feel safe and for them to actually be able to eat the small bits….. not running into the crowd of birds and thrwoing down a full loaf of bread on them… LOL….. I will say that I don’t agree with them and think it a bit (well a lot) odd what they did… fortunate for us that the body of Christ is made up of many parts and just cause we often are a good part… a face or a smile… we do find the stinky parts… an armpit or butt for example… bizarre…. May the Lord richly bless them and His face shine upon them… and may the Holy Spirit reveal to them the true richness of a life with Jesus…… -G

  34. Yeah, there were two things about Baton Rouge that disappointed me. That was one of them and the fact that we had the lowest attendance so far for the tour. The problem is not that we are all attending a Christian concert that has a beat to the music. The problem is how many other things there are that compete for time that could be well spent with God. There are a ton of reasons to suggest as to why the attendance was so low. Children in school had some extremely big tests going on this week, the weather got a little rough (knocking k-love’s tent into the fountain and takin down their speakers), it was a week-night… the bottom line is that many people just didn’t go. I’m not saying that everyone should have prioritized the concert, but it’s like that at my church too. kids have football practice, baseball practice, band practice, dance, parties… parents want to sleep late, get yard work done, go shopping, etc. There’s a lot of people who “have better things to do” than spend time with God. The fact that people are out there yelling at them when they do show up to spend some time with God doesn’t help either.

  35. Two days later….The editing left me with goosebumps. He is so passionate, but it comes across as crazy to me. We are so passionate, it shouldn’t matter our ways of expressing it, but they seem so close-minded. How do they know Jesus wasn’t a “rock-n-roll, rapping, hip-hopping” kind of guy? Were they there? Do they have a newspaper clipping saying that? What? You can’t tell me there wasn’t music in Jesus’ life! Whether in song, instruments (including drums), or dance. We just don’t know & one should speculate so harshly what isn’t written. Worship means different things to different groups, but it should all be for praising & lifting up the name of our Lord. The ending was perfect. Thanks, Brody.
I’m getting teary-eyed thinking about last night. I’ve been to many concerts & seen both MM & Jeremy multiple times (live). But, never with 19000 of my closest friends. It was overwhelming & still is right now. I may be tired, but tears are tears.
Loved your crowd shot from “a mile” up. :)

  36. Oh, & I loved Mark’s 1 word comment! He is a man of few words. (ha, ha, ha)

  38. In the same way, they will know we (on the blog) are Christians by our love.
Praise God for His grace in spite of our continual condemning of Christ on the cross as we sin daily.
Praise God it is only by His grace and not our actions or words that anyone is drawn to Him.

  39. Dude…Brody. Quit breaking God’s Holy Law, man! Sheesh.
