Baton Rouge Visitors
So, I’m not entirely sure what they were protesting, but we had several protestors show up tonight and say we were going to hell. So I did what any normal blogging idiot would do and went out and stood with them for about an hour. I never talked to anyone, except to invite them in when the doors opened, but mostly just observed and took some video. Most of the protestors were nice, but there were two that got pretty fired up. The ‘main’ pastor or whatever and another guy.
I think the part that weirded me out the most was them all dressing the same and how sad they all looked. No joy in Jesus I suppose.
That’s just amazing. I mean, I know that some religious sects think that rock and roll is the devil, but it makes me wonder how they can think anything that glorifies God is evil. I mean, these self-righteous people….they have all these things but have not love….
I’m glad you guys are safe and that the guys continue to spread the word of God every night through song and scripture.

I actually have a friend who, though asked each and every time, refuses to go to a concert with me. No, it’s not because I smell or anything…least I don’t think I do. She replies that the last time she went to one, the hip-hop dancers on stage ruined the worship aspect of the evening for her. She was appalled by them and by the singer for having them and left in the middle. This just wasn’t her kinda church get-together. It was a Nicole C. Mullens concert. She has never been to another concert since.
Having said that, she doesn’t ‘condemn me to hell’ for going to them.
Wow.
We have a group in Reno doing the same thing. It’s sad cause they protested at a soldiers funeral, in front of a house where a girl was abducted rapped and murder, in front of a CHURCH, and on our campus. Where the Christians clubs had to work hard to clean up the mess from the after math and reactions of the students.
They proclaim that, “God Hates Reno” and “God Hates Nevada” It’s sad really. Their website isn’t as loving either. http://www.godhatesfags.com/
They are back today but this time there’s a group of people going to try to show the group love. They are calling them selves the “forgiving fred” group.
