Biggest Loser Workout

So, Kristin and I have decided to try out this Biggest Loser Workout video thing for six weeks. It was more Kristin deciding it when she bought it and brought it home and said, “I think we should try out this Biggest Loser Workout video thing for six weeks.”, but I have decided to make a go at it with her. I’m not going to lie. It’s really hard.
Here’s how it works. The first three weeks you alternate between ‘Workout One’ and ‘Workout Three’, then week four, five and six, alternating between “Workout Two’ and ‘Workout Four’. We just finished our first week and I’m still not so sure I’m down.
You know how they say that the more you work out the better you feel? I’m still waiting for that. We did, however, decide to take the weekends off, you know, for recovery time, so today is really nice.
Anyway, week one is down, I’m still alive and I do feel less tired so that it nice. Five more weeks and I’ll be all in shape and junk. It’s really fun to be doing this with Kristin so we can keep each other motivated. Otherwise I would have returned the DVD and bought some burritos instead.
Any other workout video peeps out there? Don’t be shy.

My mom got that recently actually. Don’t know that she’s started it yet.
I prefer Tae Bo myself
And the Tae Bo guy, Billy Blanks, also has a weightlifting workout called Crunch. Man it’s tough! But in that good-kick-you-in-the-butt kinda way! Love it!

workout videos?
…just D-Qwon’s Dance Groove.
Not only did I used to love exercise, but I could eat about anything without putting on weight. After 3 back surgeries since age 31, not only is a “work-out” out, but so is the eating anything without consequence. What would I trade the DVD in for? Churros! Just kidding! I would get a really good burger & homemade fries & watch the DVD while I eat.
I have the Windsor Pilates DVDs…it’s harder than it looks. They are only like 20 min. long, but the next day your abs will be sore.
I like it, though, because it works muscles similarly to how they were worked when I was taking gymnastics classes.
Nope, no workout video stuff for me. Too many eyes watching Mom! I prefer to walk my 3 miles everyday.
Yeah, about that workout thing…
I joined a gym back in Nov. and went twice before the madness of the Christmas season (which actually started in Oct. due to school plays and such) took over and it wasn’t an option. Then I had some surgery, and wasn’t even supposed to lift laundry baskets let alone heavy, metal objects. Today the doc gave me the “all clear” to go back to the gym (as if I was ever really there to begin with.) Like you, I don’t exercise on weekends, so I’ll start back on Monday;)
It would be great to have someone like my husband to help me stay focused, but frankly, he’s worse than Jillian and we’d probably kill each other.
I also like the Winsor Pilates DVD’s, but there’s no room to do workout DVD’s in our tiny condo; however, we do have a gym in our condo building. I’ve ridden the bike in there twice in 5 months!
I still like Jazzercise better.
I prefer walking over the exercise videos. I used to have several of them but I rarely used them. My hubby would never exercise with me, I wish he would because it would help to keep me motivated. You’re a good guy to do this with your wife.
You gotta try Jillian Micheal’s 30 day shred!!!
I have the Windsor Pilates DVDs but the one that’s been working right now is the Wii workout that Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser did. There is a tire course, a kayak thing and more.
I also walk the canyon a couple times a week and have been having a blast using the new watch thing that I got for Christmas that tracks steps, calories, miles and heart rate
I used workout video as it was fun years ago! So enjoy!!
after years of great coaching (and some pretty bad ones too) videos just don’t seem to do it for me… as you can tell by my “more to love” (thank you myspace) body. i prefer a coach to kick my ass, much like the ones on the biggest loser. i think they would be awesome for me, but i don’t want to pay for it, and i think i am not quite fat enough anymore for that show… i am not sure if i should celebrate that fact, or cry, i think i will cry at the lost opportunity to win $250,000. or is it really lost??? hmm…
