The Day After

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Our day was pretty full but totally relaxed. Today we are going to brave going out and stopping in on some places my parents have been wanting to go, and trying to avoid all the ‘Christmas Money spenders’.
I promise to have a more substantial post later today, but wanted to drop in and see what your plans were for the day after Christmas. So let’s hear it. How does your family spend the day after? Recovering? Playing? Shopping? Traveling? Exchanging?
Ready? Go.

Really don’t have any plans. We had a quiet Christmas with just the 3 of us. Daughter gone to coffee with her friends, as one is leaving today for a wedding. No Christmas money to spend, so shopping is out. Guess I’ll just read.
Did you take that picture of Cooper with his gift? I love it!
Today I have to clean my house. If my husband didn’t have to work, he probably would’ve been one of the crazies out there trying to get a deal. He loves the “hunt” of it. I need to go out for a birthday gift, but the fact that our roads here in Indiana are a solid sheet of ice mean I’m not going anywhere.
Have a fun day no matter what you’re doing. I wish I could go shopping! I’m still not quite up to it anyway.
I have spent the day trying to motivate myself to move. No success yet and I’m almost done trying. Enjoy the family bro!!
Since my husband decided to go practical (bad move) I’m gonna listen to my new Building 429 CD, check out my 2 new cookbooks he got me while I do fun stuff like laundry and picking up around the house. I usually take my tree down the day after Christmas, but since my Mom is here I’ll wait. I’m pretty sure some of my kids are gonna hit the beach, who knows I may even join them!
The kids and I are recovering today.. I’ve lost many Wii games to Noah, the whining of having to put things away has begun, and Zion has already punched Noah in the back! huuuuuh.. Thats me taking a deep breath. All in all it was a fun Christmas. The kids had a great time. Hope you guys did too.
We had a quiet and good Christmas. Hubby is working and I have been out getting new Christmas decor for next year.
I sleep in.
Put in some movies.
Hibernate.
On this day after we’ve taken it pretty easy. My husband went to work, leaving my (visiting) mom and I to hang. Went to my son’s, bringing over his big gifts that he didn’t have room in his truck for last night, cause he took his little sister home with him. (and the bed was full of snow)
Did a couple of returns and browsed for some after Christmas bargains (mmmm, got some ginger bread cookies at World Market).
Laid back – easy going – taking it easy.
We don’t do this every year (thank God!), but this year we took a little 19 hour jaunt from North Dakota to Michigan so that we could be with my in-laws. My father-in-law, whom I love dearly, is turning 80 on the 31st. We’re all home to help him celebrate in style! It was a long drive (actually, ride for me), but well worth it.
I got to watch movies and listen to music on my new Blackberry Storm.
