Well, let's see. He'd need a great manager, a blog, a huge tour schedule. Maybe somebody who can stream his message over the web to complete strangers. Impose is such a fleeting concept to many today. Think of the thousands who came to see Jesus. They had no internet, no twitter, no transportation, other than feet & barnyard animals. There are so many people to filter in & out of our day, I can almost imagine that Jesus wouldn't be imposing. But, that isn't his style. Then or today. There are so many who vie for our attention. Which "miracles" do we believe? Which words do we believe? So many people have short attention spans, there wouldn't be time for some of Jesus' story to be told. He'd need a gimmick. No wait, that isn't his style either. What an imposing question, Brody.
Yes, I think so. I also think that they would consider him to be too far 'out in left field' for their taste…a fanatic of sorts and a threat to their 'religious beliefs'.
Yes, many of today's Christian Society would or does think that Jesus tried to persuade people to His way of thinking. But, Jesus told the truth and let people make their own decisions. He didn't try to convert people to His way of thinking, and He let people believe whatever they wanted.
were he here today, I think the relationship between the church and jesus would be much more like the relationship between the pharisees and jesus. the overarching attitude toward jesus would not be about imposition, but rather, a rethinking of priorities and attitudes about people.
imposition is a standard behavior of this world. jesus was most revolutionary because in so many ways he subversively acted contrary to the ways he was expected to. he was the messiah, but not how they expected him to be.
were he to live today, we would expect him to go about establishing his ministry in the same ways we do, and he would put us in our place.
I think so, He tended to be "Zealous for the Kingdom" driving out the money changers, calling sin for what it was, and even imposing stricter standards upon the people of God, ie divorce,
The difference that I see between Christ and the Church today is that He was about Orthodoxy as well as Orthopraxy, walking the line as only God could, defining the line in some cases. Now-a-days we somehow have developed a wall between the two, either vigorously living out spiritual and corporeal acts of mercy, focusing on the right practice or being a stickler of theology and right belief while living a cerebral faith. Christ would challenge both to live more in each other's world IMHO.

hmmmm…. good question….
Yep.
Maybe I ask for clarification on what you mean by imposed before I answer this question??
