Positive Post Tuesday – SkörInc’s Artists

Over the last few months I have had the opportunity to work with some really amazing people.  One thing that I love about what I do with SkörInc is that I am not tied to one specific management company or one label.  I get to work with a handful of different people and join them in their own creativity.

This Tuesday I’d like to bring some attention to some of the amazing folks that I get to work with.  Some are brand new and some I have been working with for a long time.

First off, the guys in MercyMe have really paved the way for us to do things that no one else has done.  We just finished broadcasting an entire tour online.  It was a challenge, but it’s amazing to see the noise that has been made in the industry because of that.  In fact, I think tonight Jeremy Camp is broadcasting his show, so it’s great that folks are paying attention.  This couldn’t have happened without the MercyMe guys giving it a shot.

Natalie Grant has also been an awesome ‘early adopter’ that has really helped get things going for SkörInc.  She is constantly open to something new and really receptive to new ideas.  She’s also a super creative person and some of the things she has come up with have been great to see.  Not to mention she Twitters like nobody’s business.

The Katinas have only worked with us for a couple months now, but are one of those groups that are constantly thinking about what to do next.  It’s awesome to see their involvement and creativity in what we are doing.  I couldn’t be happier working with them.  I feel like they really get what SkörInc is doing and are an amazing support.

There are several others that we are working with and if you haven’t checked them out in a while it’s time to go through and say hello.  Phil Wickham, Fee, Joy WhitlockConnersvine, Elijah Stephen, Damian Horne, and Daniel Renstrom.  Another couple artists that we have just started working with, and I am super excited about, are Brenton Brown and Dan Evans.  Brenton has a great personality, and I’m excited to see what his blog becomes.  Look for that in the next couple weeks.  Dan also has a great personality and has some great stories that will make for a pretty cool blog.

What’s your favorite blog that SkörInc works with and why?

Welcome to Tuesday. You know what to do.

  1. I have yet to check out SkörInc, but I would purport to fancying those you've mentioned.

  2. Hey, Brody. The last 2 nights of the MM tour were absolutely spectacular! You know dc*b broadcast most of their remedy tour on Dave's Xanga site. It was only 1 camera and the angle kinda stunk, but they did it. In fact, Phil Wickham was along for that ride. It certainly wasn't the quality of MM. The work of everyone behind the scenes was awesome. Bart seemed to delight in it every night after the shows. I know I had a ball. Thanks again and I'm glad you got some playtime in yesterday-with your other kids! ha, ha. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  3. Shellie. Thanks for the kind words. I was actually on the Crowder tour road managing Phil at the time. They had a great thing with that camera on the bus and all. In fact, we were involved with the broadcasting of Phil Wickham's "Singalong" when it was recorded too. That's the great thing about this job. I can be involved and no one knows.

  4. I enjoy reading Elijah's blog. He does a good job of making his posts down to earth and relatable. I understand what he is talking about and do not feel out of touch.

And if you can count your blog as well ;)

p.s. your sneakiness was just found on the singalong cover.

I would have to say, Mercy Me is my favorite one. Mostly because that's the one I've spent the most time on and they had their shows live online. That really drew me in and made me a bigger fan. Got to see their heart for worship and a bit of their personalities. I have been to Phil and Natalie's a few times before. I'm not familiar with the other bands.
As you know, I live on Kauai, and I don't get to go to many concerts. I think it's awesome that bands are exploring steaming their concerts live. I will not and can't fly over to Oahu for just any band. But, they can try and draw me in like Mercy Me and who knows!

P.S. Brody, If you are doing a traffic watch and notice someone from HI that spends like all day on MM and your website…….just know, I never turn my computer off and forget I have a tab up on the websites. So, it shouldn't count.

  6. It has been a delight to work with someone who is at the forefront of media marketing and has a creative mind that is second to none. The Katinas are blessed to be partnering with Brody and SkorInc and look forward to a long working relationship with them. If you've taken a few seconds to read this post then you may as well finish strong and check out our blogs @ http://thekatinas.com/blog . Nothing like a shameless plug.

  7. MM for me…..Love the CTGB!!!

  8. First time I've ever taken part in a PPT. I kind of loved it. Thanks Brody.
