I’m a sucker for that ‘dirty Americana’ sound.  I don’t know how to describe it other than that.  It’s that sound that makes you feel like you should be riding on a train across America at sunset or something.  That sound that makes you want to be more creative and turns everything around you a little more artistic.

My friend Jeremy called me the other day asking if I had heard of John Mark McMillan, and what I thought.  I had heard the name, but hadn’t heard his music until later that day.  Now I’m hooked.  It’s got that sound.  Turns out he’s sort of an “up and coming” guy, so if you have heard of him, that’s awesome.  Now it’s time to start telling the people that haven’t.   Thanks Jeremy.

Everyone else.  Go now and check him out.

I became a fan due to the Jesus Culture version of his How He Loves. Good stuff.

Good Call! I’d never heard of him and it’s awesome. I’m looking for a stagecoach to rob right now…

Yeah, I also heard of him in reference to “How He Loves.” Great song (with a great story behind it which everyone who hasn’t heard it should look up on YouTube), and I like his other stuff, too.
