Positive Post Tuesday
You know what’s cool about working in the Christian Music Industry? You get to meet a ton of people who are genuinely nice, good people. Now, there might be a few ‘bad apples’ out there, but typically when someone has dedicated their life to a ministry in music, when you meet them or hang out with them, nine times out of ten it’s a refreshing experience.
Jason, from 33 Miles, is no exception to that rule. I have met Jason a few times since we have lived in the same town. In fact, when Kristin and I first moved to Nashville we were in the same Bible study at church for a while. I doubt he remembers, simply because we were new and never talked. Man, talk about a rabbit trail…. Anyway, I had the chance to meet with Jason today about (what else) blogging and the possibility of working together. I’m excited about this for a couple of reasons, but one that stands out to me is that Jason is already blogging. In fact, go now and tell him hello on his blog…. I will wait.
I’m excited about the fact that he is already blogging and sees the value of doing it and taking it to the next level. Now, nothing was nailed down completely today, but I am looking forward to talking to them more about things. Another thing that excites me about the possibility of working with Jason refers to the first part of this post. He’s a great guy. He’s nice, he’s down to earth, he’s genuine and I think he would be a great hang even if we weren’t working together. It’s great to continually be connecting with people in an industry where we may have different talents and passions but we all have a bond.
Say what you want about Christian music and the industry itself, but I love the idea of connecting with people who care about their beliefs and care about the people around them. That to me seems like an ideal place to be.
It’s Tuesday. You know what to do.

Brody, thanks for helping make the connections between the music industry and the fans. I love 33 Miles’ music and I appreciate you pointing us to Jason’s blog.
Not sure if it qualifies for a positive post – this is my first one to do. I am on the other side of a not-so-positive situation, so I hope it counts. Do I get credit?
Hey Brody, Keep up the great work!!!!
jason is a great guy. so are Colin and Chris. Great hearts and really talented. i’ve met them a handful of times and they have a great attitude about life and the impact of their music and ministry.
hope everything works out with Skorinc and 33 Miles.
I don’t know anything about this group, but I’ll go check them out. I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday!!
I’m excited to see Skorinc working with Jason…he is a great guy. I’ve met him a couple of times and he remembered me, that made me smile. He’s very genuine, you’re right…can’t wait to see what you all create together!
