Positive Post Tuesday
I’ve been in Texas for the past week where I’m not sure it gets very cold. At least I’ve never been cold in Texas and I’ve been there a million times. When I left the weather was right on the edge of getting cold and today I think it’s here. This morning I was able to walk Blue to he bus stop again and nearly froze to death. It feels like winter is officially working it’s way in. I even heard that it got down to around twenty-five degrees last night.
See here’s the thing. I love it when it’s cold. I love having to wear several layers. I love seeing my breath in the mornings and holding tight to a hot cup of coffee. This morning is that morning. Not to mention I love being home with my family too.
Now I realize that for some, the arrival of the cold might not be considered a “Positive Post Tuesday” worthy thing, as some of you might not like the cold, but to me it’s my favorite time of year. October has to be one of the best months of the year. I know it’s been asked before, but what’s your favorite month?
Welcome to Tuesday. For those of you just showing up, this is how Positive Post Tuesday works. It’s really easy. Write something positive on your blog, then come back here and fill out the box below. And remember, if you don’t have something nice to blog, maybe you shouldn’t blog at all…. at least on Tuesdays.
Have a great one.

I don’t like being cold, or outside when it’s cold. I don’t like that I have to wear socks and shoes now.
But, I can stay inside and have, hot coffee… cozy blankets… I can focus on those things.
Cold … we have a love hate relationship. Love being able to ski, but I really don’t like being cold. The answer for me? LAYERS! and warm socks. and glittens … you know, gloves with the fingers open and they cover up with flip over mittens.
You are my boy!!!!. i also love October. I am sure I would love it more this year in Tenn. I love the change of the colors. I love the chill in the air. I love wearing cuddly clothes and I love when my grands are cold, they come and cuddle me.
I feel cheated a little this year, its just now getting to be around 70. But I can dream.
Love you. Mom
In sunny FLA, we love the cold, if by cold you mean mild . . .
Still, I love me some December . . .
Oh me too, Brody. Love it, love it, love it.
When it starts to get cold (in Missouri) in October I get this bounce in my step. I smile even more than usual. I am near giddy. I have no idea why I love the cold and wintertime so much, but I always have. This morning I awoke to frost… ahhh, sheer bliss.
So happy you get to be home a bit. Yea! Treasure it.
God bless.
I agree Brody, October Rocks!
Bring on the cold!

december takes the cake for me. cold AND christmas!
I’m with Travis. Today it’s “mild” and I love it!
But I wore the lighest sweater I have, because since I am moving up north for college, I have to get used to the “cold” as if it wasn’t really cold. As if 60 degree weather is warm instead of freezing. I’m not quite there, but I’m working on it. I wore shorts to school today. Hehe.
Oh and my favorite month?
Hmmm. It’s a tough choice. I like both the summer and the winter so right now I’m torn between July and December. July is usually the more exciting month for me. It’s when our youth group either goes to the EFCA Challenge conference [once every two years] or does some other ministry related activity in Miami. Oh and no school for me. But December has Christmas…And the cold.
I’m too indecisive.
I love the cold weather, as long as I’m bundled up! I think my favorite month is January. Not just because it’s my birth month… because that’s usually about when A-town gets a little snow! Yay!
Dude, I too actually love cold, at least chilly. Last night it reached down into the mid 50′s and tonight it is supposed to get into the 40′s. A couple of guys I meet with on Tuesday nights and I were hanging out at St. Arbucks chapel for our regular service and I thought it was a beautiful thing I was able to put on a pair of jeans and my adidas sweater. Its nice when I get to wear these clothes the few times a year I do. Doesn’t happen too often here in South Florida.
I love the cold! I grew up in south Florida and now I live in ND. I LOVE it here!! We had our first dusting of snow on Sunday morning. Mary (age 9) is all geared up and ready for her second season of hockey. She’s playing on a park board and a traveling team this year so we’ll be busy. She was also selected as “Captain of the Game” for the UND Fighting Sioux v. Wisconsin at Saturday night’s game. She gets to tour the locker room (sans players!), meet the coaches, sit in the bench area for warm up and ride the zamboni. I think I’m almost as excited as she is! For a transplant, I’m such a hockey mom!
Ditto to cool and crispy weather! Favorite month is not as easy since all has it’s specialties. However, I will stick with December.
I don’t share your affinity for the cold. I don’t like being cold at all. My favorite month is July because I’m a teacher and I have the summers off. June we finish up the school year, and in August we have to prep for the next, so July is my month to have fun. I like your “Postitive Post Tuesday”, but I won’t be sharing today. I have nothing to say.
