Waco, TX
So, I found out a bunch of little trivia bits concerning Waco, TX, but I know there are a bunch of folks here that actually live it Waco, so I thought I’d just throw out a few that I think are awesome and let you fill in the blanks.
- Mr. David Crowder lives here along with several of his ‘Crowder personnel’.
- Dr. Pepper was invented here, then became Diet Dr. Pepper and got awesome.
- David Koresh did some crazy stuff here, and eventually burned himself up and a bunch of other people. Turns out he wasn’t Jesus.
- Waco, TX is the location of the Texas Ranger Hall Of Fame And Museum. If I had time I think it would be fun to go there and look for Chuck Norris.
- Bart wants to make a “Tubby Club” video today for the tour weight-loss challenge, but he can’t find his camera.
That last one has nothing to do with Waco, except that I am sitting at a massive desk in a church in Waco listening to Bart talk about how he wants to make a “Tubby Club” video but can’t find his camera.
Anything else we need to know about Waco?

I agree on the total awesomeness of DDP.
To connect #1 & #2: I believe that Mr. Crowder lives in the former home of the inventor of Dr. Pepper. He mentioned it on his Xanga blog many moons ago calling it the “house that Pepper built.” Oh, is Xanga a bad word, Brody?
Don’t forget that Seth and Amber went to school at Baylor and that W. lives just outside of town!
Also, Koresh was in a close-by town, not Waco.
Also, back in the 50s? I think, Waco was on its way to being the new “austin,” lots of industry and music… Then an f-5 twister swiped the entire downtown clean off the map. The town never fully recovered…
Hmm. more things about Waco… I grew up there. Left when I was 18.
The only thing you missed is the incredibly awesome Jasper’s barbeque off Waco Dr. In a house. If you can make it it will be one of your best bbq experiences.
I live in Waco. I think that’s pretty cool.
The current POTUS flies Air Force One in and out of TSTC Waco Airport whenever he is visiting the ranch. After arriving in Waco, Marine One then shuttles to and from Crawford.
My hubby likes to call Waco ‘Wacko’ cause he says that’s where the wild and crazy side of my family lives. I think he’s just jealous……
Tubby-Club huh?
It is also home to one of the ten Rosa’s Cafes in Texas. Awesome tortillas!
Super fast Michael Johnson also attended Baylor. It makes your “tubby club” point a little more relevant! Maybe!
they have some of the SUCKIEST water around. tastes like complete dirt. even soft drinks from a restaurant tastes like dirt.
good ol’ Lake Waco.
also…The Secret Life of Kat lives there…or so i’m told
Bush doesn’t know what he is talking about. You’re suppose to drink the water, not suck it. Silly bass player.
It is the home of “Health Camp” and “Double-R”!
It’s also the home of the “Gut Pack” sandwich at Vitek’s. That thing has been the primary contributor of 93% of all Waco heart problems.
Not to mention, it’s the birthplace of your neighbor, Olivia.
