Well, I totally forgot yesterday, but welcome to Wednesday and welcome to the first ever, Positive Post Wednesday.

Most of you know that last week I had the chance to go down to Atlanta and hang out with the MercyMe guys for the day.  What I didn’t know going down there was that my friend Eric would be filling in for their merch guy for the trip and he would be with them.

Eric was one of the first guys I met when I moved to Nashville.  He was out with Third Day doing their merch for some shows that I went to and we ended up being hotel roommates.  From then on Eric and I have hung out occasionally (when we are in town at the same time) and were even in a band for a week together.

Here’s the cool thing about Eric.  If you read his blog for any amount of time you’ll quickly see that he’s a guy full of questions, full of doubt, and full of a willingness to learn something new.  He’s a cynic, he’s mouthy, and he’s one of the most genuine caring people I’ve met.  His concern and love for people goes beyond his cynicism, and his fight to live a life as Christ-centered as possible is obvious.

The more I get to know Eric, the more nothing surprises me about the lengths he will go to help other people and spread the gospel.  I know this next year is sure to be full of changes for him, and I’m glad to call him a friend.  If you haven’t, check out Eric’s blog and say hello.
