A Nashville Rock Show

Well, Randy, Aiden and I ended up going to the Third Day, Switchfoot, Robert Randolph, Jars Of Clay, Red show.  Yes, they all played, and it was a long night.  Aiden’s said his favorite was Switchfoot, and told me he wanted to do that when he got bigger.  He sat completely still their entire set, told me what number song they were playing from the CD, and told me that sometimes Cooper “wakes up kicking and screaming”.

Nashville shows are weird though.  There’s always a million people walking around, and most of them you have seen before, or know from somewhere and everyone is hanging out with everyone.  Lots of hand shaking and short conversations.  It’s a little stressful, but it’s cool to be a part of at the same time.

All in all it was a great night.  We had a good time, saw a great show, and was able to see some friends.  I was able to talk to Mark  a little about the World Wide Web, and how losing your iPhone affects your Twittering.  Then he brought the rock.  Great guys those Third Day fellas, that’s for sure.

  2. Was this part of the Music Builds tour? I am seeing them this Sunday night and CANNOT WAIT!

  3. Annie. Yeah that’s the tour. It’s a great show. You’ll love it.

I liked Switchfoot production alot. I know what you mean about Nashville shows being weird. I was thinking the same thing last night. That is an awesome picture of Aiden and Jon! Aiden is so going to be in a rock band when he’s older! How many 3 year olds can sit through a Switchfoot set perfectly still?

no good shows ever come to florida :(

    that sounds amazing!

  7. Lucky!
They were supposed to go to West Palm Beach, but that show was postponed.

Jon Foreman is the second coolest person to ever walk the planet, after Jesus.

  8. I’m so jealous of Aiden! I’d love to chat with Jon Foreman and I could listen to Switchfoot all day long. Sometimes I do! I’m anxiously awaiting Jon’s newest solo CD. I preordered from MusicChristian.com last week.

I realize that Jon may be very famous, etc…but I cannot take my eyes off of Aiden. Mammo loves you !!!!

  10. What an adorable pic!

Jimmy and I are going to the MBT in Dallas next week. Yes, JIMMY is going to a concert.

I’m quite excited. Thanks for assuring me it will be a great show (although with those bands, how could it NOT be great?)

  11. I love Switchfoot, Robert Randolph, Third Day, all of them. I love to keep up with blogs. The Jon Foreman pic with Aiden is pretty sweet, too. But what stands out more than any of that? “Loosing”. 3 times in the last two posts. If you lose something, how does the act of doing that become “loosing”? To lose is to misplace. To loose is to unleash something upon humanity. It’s a voluntary thing. If one is “loosing” their iPhone, they are setting it free or breaking its chains so that it may torment humanity with its quirky touch screen keyboard. But if it’s “losing” they are doing then they just misplaced it and hopefully will find it later. I promise I’m not a jerk. Just a graphic designer. The curse I bear with that is an attention to grammar and spelling that often makes me look like a jerk, and a graphic designer. And then I usually do something stupid like misspell half of my post with random typos that make it look like I should take my own advice. Have a nice day. (c:

  12. Brent D. Nice catch.

See, now where would I be without the anal-retentiveness of my blog readers? Don’t even get me started on the overuse of my commas.
