Wednesday Night
Almost four months ago I got an email in my Inbox from Ticketmaster notifying me that Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, otherwise know as The Swell Season, would be at the historic Ryman Auditorium sometime near the end of September. Being one of my top five albums of all time, it was time to start making plans. The last show Kristin and I went to see there was Damien Rice and it blew us away. I’m convinced that this Wednesday night won’t be much different.
From what I can tell this will be one of only eleven shows that they are doing in America so we’re pretty excited to be able to see it. Anyone out there seen Glen Hansard or The Swell Season before? Any Nashville people planning on going?

I think I saw Damien on the same tour…and yes it was incredible.
I saw ‘The Frames’ – Glen’s Hansards band, last year in Belfast, and Marketa Irglova was there as well, I’m going to see the Swell Season in Belfast in a couple weeks time… can’t wait…

I can’t even begin to express how jealous I am right now.
I absolutely love these guys and definitely rate it at one of my fav. albums of all time. Right up there with Lionel Richie (can’t believe you don’t like him. What kind of person doesn’t like “Hello?”)

They are here (pittsburgh) today. I really want to see them, but the tickets are a bit steep ($38-$44) for the four of us to go. Oh-well. Enjoy!
Ooooh, I just checked the schedule and I see they are playing here in San Diego on Oct. 3rd. I wanna go!!!
