Most of the time I have to physically go somewhere...like a place of solitude. I don't know why. Most of the time, when I make an effort to get somewhere with God, He honors the effort. Even if I don't "hear from Him," which is hard to quantify as it is, I'm always happy I went. I can remind myself of His faithfulness, and He always seems to "feel closer" when I am by myself.

When I'm hurt and need Him. I guess I would say I "feel" God more than "hear" Him. Either way, it's when I really know that He is there.

I checked out the website for the study. It sounds like a great study. However, it bugs me when they say that "We're all terminal." No, no we're not. Being terminally ill isn't a blessing. It's actually sucks.

I hear God thru the words to a song. I'll have the radio on, and a song will start playing, and the words just make me stop and say, "Thank you, Jesus!" or "Doh! Okay, God, I get it."

God uses other people to speak to me. And books. And moments of quiet. And moments of loudness at an awesome concert. And in the reading of His Word.

I think God is constantly speaking to us. The question is, are we taking the time to listen to Him?

In all seriousness I haven't "heard" God that many times in my life. Like, fully knowing that the voice of God has spoken to you.

I know my brain is constantly going all day and night. But...when I hop into a shower/bathroom area there is something about it that God's voice just seems to boom! Pretty crazy, but also very interesting that the only part of my day I find relaxing is when I hear God.

Oh and lately in my dreams, in all seriousness, lately God has been talking to me more than I have heard in a long time. I am going through a really messed up situation and I pray and God continues to tell me the same thing, "trust me," and it is the most difficult thing to hear right now.

Everywhere...

For my entire life, my dad and mom shared with us about how they "heard God" anywhere, everywhere and "talked to God" continually throughout each day of their lives. Telling my sister and I about 1 Thess 5:17 and what the apostle Paul meant about living in a constant heart 'n' attitude of prayer as we go about our day-to-day. Then, they would go on to say how when you stay in relationship with Jesus like that, you end up wanting to talk to Him like all the time. You can practically never get enough. You laugh with Him, you cry with Him, you whisper, you yell, you sing, you dance (just like King David), and on it goes. He's your first love, your best friend, your daddy, your everything... and as such, you desire Him more and more. Therefore, you seek Him more and more. And in turn... you hear Him... more and more and more.
