Favorite Actors And Actresses
The other day we were talking about who are favorite actors and actresses were. I was able to pin down a few actors that I really liked. Kevin Spacey, John Malkovich, and Brad Pitt were some of the ones at the top of the list. Brad Pitt was at the top of Kristin’s too, though I’m guessing for entirely different reasons. What I was having a hard time with was coming up with actresses that really blew me away. A performance in something that literally made me believe that she was that character. I’ve thought about it for about a week now and still am having a hard time coming up with someone.

so kyle and i ran into the same problem with actresses, how terrible is that? i love julia roberts and think she is pretty amazing. he likes natalie portman, but really just because she is hott. although we both agreed on scarlett johansen. we will pick up a movie she is in even if we have never heard of it and we are never disappointed. Actors was easy though:
brad pitt, johnny depp, john cusack, don cheadle, and kevin spacey. we will never turn down one of their movies, ever
i also used to love richard gere, but i think i am over that one…

nicole kidman… she is pretty darn good, so maybe she could be a good example of exceptional acting for a female?

Brad Pitt, George Clooney (we love the Ocean’s movies), Depp, Gene Hackman – plus all the ones already said. Actors are easy; for actresses, a very underrated one is Allison Janney
My favorite actors are Brad Pitt (ha), Ryan Gosling, and Johnny Depp.
My favorite actresses are more of the tv variety and I suspect that’s because the better roles for women are on tv. I like Kyra Sedgwick, Keri Russell, and I also like Angelina Jolie.

By far, Ashley Judd in Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood AND High Crimes. I myself cannot vote for Brad Pitt because of the fact that he left my BFF Jen. But I will admit that the “Ocean’s” series is a must see. My favorite movie, Gladiator (I know I am a chick, but I love this movie AND I love football….so shoot me!) has an amazing performance by Connie Nielsen.

Ryan Gosling {in “Lars and The Real Girl”} – if you can make it thru the premise of a weird movie, you’ll see what I mean about amazing acting.

My favorite actor would have to be Denzel Washington. I also like Forrest Whitaker and Tom Hanks. Edward Norton and Gene Hackman are right up there too.
As for actresses, I’d say Meryl Streep. She’s played so many diverse rolls. I also like Julia Roberts, Minnie Driver. More there too I’m sure but I can’t think right now.

I will watch pretty much anything Colin Firth does. And Hugh Jackman (can’t wait for ‘Australia’ to come out next year! And, check him out in Paperback Hero – before he was famous)
I hired ‘Martian Child’ because John Cusack was in it, so I guess I like him too! I also like a local actor William McInnes – extremely underrated.
Oh I like Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Hillary Swank, actresses that actually ACT and not just pose and pout on screen (that means you, Keira Nightley, and I don’t care if that’s spelt wrong!)
