Well, I’ve asked before and I am still working on getting a solid list down, but I need to ask again. This here is a pretty solid community of bloggers and I need to know who you want to see blogging. What artists, Christian or otherwise, do you want to see blogging? I have some ideas of how to make this community a pretty powerful voice in the music industry, but I need to make sure I have all of your opinions.
Last time we did this there were some great answers and I think Derek Webb, Crowder and Jon Foreman were at the top of the list. Did that change? Let’s hear it.

shawn mcdonald
1. Jon Foreman
2. The Afters
3. Bono- a real personal blog, no management involved
4. Newsboys
5. Children 18:3
evan wickham
ed cash
brooke fraser
crowder’s soundguys
aaron marsh
I am not sure how much this would help, but I follow a pretty large list of Christian bloggers, which I have compiled here: http://d.amasc.us/about/blogroll/
I would love the the #’s above to be links so I could check them all out, I am sure I have not seen all of them (MercyMe has a pretty good updated blog too).
Yep, still Jon and Derek at the top for me. And Crowder should stop using xanga.
Here are some additions:
-Mike Donehey–lead singer from Tenth Avenue North. He writes on their myspace blog, and I think people need to hear what he has to say! I’d like to see the rest of those dudes in the band blogging, too. (myspace.com/tenthavenuenorth)
-Needtobreathe–again, myspace bloggers. It needs to be more. They are always in some sort of random predicament! (myspace.com/needtobreathe)
-SafetySuit–they make some amazing little videos from the road and the lead singer, Doug, has a knack for writing. I’d love to see more from them. They definitely know how to get the most out of their myspace, but it could be so much more with an interactive blog. (myspace.com/safetysuit)
-Stephen Christian from Anberlin. Freakin’ smart. He blogs via Relevant on occasion. (http://relevantmagazine.com/releblog/category/stephen-christian/)
-Andrew Schwab from Project 86. Again, a Rele-blog guy. He racks up a few hundred responses easily every time he posts there. (http://relevantmagazine.com/releblog/category/andrew-schwab/)
-Mark Steele. Author of “Flashbang” and “Half Life/Die Already” and also a friend of mine. He doesn’t think he has time to really blog regularly…talk him into it, Brody! He’s fantastic. (http://www.halflifediealready.blogspot.com/)
1.Sara Groves
2. Jon Foreman
3. Dave Barnes
jon foreman, shawn mcdonald, leeland (outside of myspace)
1) Sara Groves - I agree with Annie here. Sara already writes for this or the other magazines, and she would probably have a great blog.
2) Steven Delopoulos - He could make his first post a point on how to remember the spelling of his name. After that, his lyrics are so stinkin’ deep he could spend a year talking about where they come from.
3) Joy Whitlock - She kind of blogs, through MyCCM and/or other places. But it is not easy to follow. Having just really read up on her to do the review, she has a great backstory and could offer insights for people - great discussion, in the least.
I still humbly suggest - EVAN WICKHAM. I am tellin’ ya it’d be great! He’s smart, funny, talented, interesting, a great singer and songwriter, excellent performer, has a gift for ministry and commits to serving God’s people daily, has an awesome and fun family, is very creative, has good twits (which he enjoys so much he will even do while driving, lol), and he puts Jesus first!
So, in case you missed that…my bloggy vote is for Evan Wickham - gooooooooooooo Evan.
Melody
Still Derek Webb and David Crowder for me. I also agree with Sara Groves and Stephen Christian (Anberlin).
1. Dave Barnes (he’s freakin’ hilarious)
2. Matt Wertz
3. Jon Foreman
Sara Groves could craft a pretty compelling blog I think.
Also, Hillsong could crank out an amazing blog about worship. I don’t even like worship music sometimes, but I would subscribe.
1. Jon Foreman [Now I REALLY want him to blog, I recently got two of his EP's and he's an amazing writer]
2. Seabird
Sara Groves for sure!
Id also like to see WAY more blogging from the gospel side of things. Kierra “Kiki” Sheard or Tye Tribbett would probably have a great blog
10th avenue north should have a blog…
Who’s Jon Foreman?
Jon Foreman is on the top of my list.
How about;
Mute Math
Athlete
Donovan Frankenreider
Ray Lamontagne
Nickel Creek
Punch Brothers
Speaking of the last few, there is a whole mess of new wave blue grass/folk music up and coming to tap into Brody.
Crowder and his bandmates should have a blog together. That would be pure awesome right there.
The Afters should blog too. They post random stuff on their MySpace blog, and I think if all of those guys jumped in consistently, that it could be a good one.
Flyleaf should have a blog. Most definitely.
Ian Eskelin has the potential to have an interesting blog.
EVAN WICKHAM pleeeeeease! Tell him he would have a widely read blog… guaranteed. You have to get him to blog. Also, Bono and Chris Martin would make a splendid edition. Go Brody, Get em.
I became a fan of Trace Adkins after last seasons Apprentice. I think he could be a great blogger.
Todd Agnew I believe would also be an excellent blogger.
1. Jeremy Riddle
2. Evan Wickham
Clume: i think Jon Foreman is the lead singer in switchfoot.
Eddie Vedder - what’s in that mind of his?
I’d really like to see Mainstay blog… they were pretty awesome when I met them… they even shared their pizza with us
