Dear Apple

Dear Apple.

Your iPhone is neat.  It’s been neat for a while now.

I do have one small favor to ask.  Can you please make sure that when you do updates for your neat iPhone that there is enough room on your server for people that are going out of town for the next two days to be able to update.  It’s a little frustrating having your entire phone cleared off and then getting an error message saying that your iTunes store is having “unexpected errors” moments before leaving town.  It would be awesome when you tell me that something is “ready for an update” to actually be ready for an update.

I still like your phone, but I wish I could use it as a … you know…. phone… instead of a fancy piece of glass and metal.  I know it’s a lot to ask, but I hope that you will take this request into consideration.

Your fair weather friend,
brody

  1. Sometimes we all wish things could go as planned once and a while, like when you are just about to leave town. Chin up, hopw yopu have a great time in the tee pee..Dad

  2. So lame. At least you get to hang out in a teepee.

And I have a couple ideas for the header… would you mind sending me the slug picture (“A Visitor”) and the one of the couch? Do you happen to have a picture of just the couch? Not that Shaun Groves isn’t cool; it’s just that this isn’t his blog. :)

  3. That’s exactly what just happened to my friend. And it corrupted his software…we’re having a heck of a time figuring it out…

    C’mon!

  4. Brody, you should just give me you phone and get a new one. Problem solved :)

  5. I like how you signed it. Reminds me of a note I left on our “family board” at home…

“Dear bills: You are annoying. Love always, Rach.”

Seriously. I’m fine with my not-so-fancy LG flip/camera phone. Even that sounds like a lot of bells and whistles to me. Unless I had a job that required something as kick-butt as the iPhone. Then I might change my tune. ;)

  6. You could always use it to swat flies in the tepee this weekend. I’m just saying . . .

I’d read that they were having these problems. Everyone buying new phones is having it half-activated in the store and then has to go home and plug in to a computer to complete activation.

Hubby’s phone recently bit the dust. He sent me to our local VZW store to get a new one. I asked him if he wanted anything in particular. His reply: “I want it to be able to make and receive calls. Nothing more, nothing less.” I couldn’t honestly find one that did only that! Being a die hard Blackberry user myself, the iPhone does nothing for me.

  8. LOL! I have to admit the roll out for the new iPhone appears to have had some bumps along the way. I find myself laughing at the people who are having issues. Meanwhile in the Jeffrey household, my BlackBerry Curve is working just fine thank you. ;-)
