Blue and I went to see Prince Caspian today. He was pretty excited to see it, and after all the talk I was looking forward to checking it out. So far I have heard all the different reviews. Some loved it. Some hated it. Some thought it was entertaining, and I think I fall in this camp. I didn’t walk out of the theatre blown away by it’s greatness, but I didn’t feel like I wasted my seven bucks either.
Now, if your looking for a thorough movie review, you won’t find it here. Pretty much every one of my movie reviews will end with something like this. ”If you want to see it, go for it. If not, don’t. It’s a movie.” I was entertained for a couple hours. I got to hang out with Blue and eat some Berry Mike And Ikes and watch some buffalo men and cheetahs crash into things and fight, so that was cool. Oh yeah, and I’ve had this song stuck in my head all day.
I’ve been going back and forth about saying “Happy Memorial Day”, but for some reason the words “happy” and “memorial” don’t seem to fit. So either way, I hope you had a good day off.

I didn’t mind it either… I mean… it’s either this or those funny BBC version of Narnia
I thought is was fun. But hey, I didn’t go see it for a sunday school lesson. What did Blue think?
Yeah, you liked it because you used to BE a cheetah… remember?
And you can see a movie for seven bucks??? It’s ten, here!
Blue thought it was great. He liked the mouse.
I can see a movie for seven bucks if I go at noon. Otherwise it’s ten… i think….
Prince Caspian doesn’t come out for another couple of weeks here. We were going to see Indiana Jones last night after Elevate (young adults), but we all went home instead

Tuesday is the best day to see a movie here, as it’s only $8.50 instead of $15. Tuesdays are affectionately known around here as ‘tight-’bottom’ tuesdays’ - the last day before most people’s pay-day. A cafe we frequent also has half-price deals on tuesdays
Most often we have to drop a couple of Hamilton’s for a movie here. That video was absolutely hilarious.
My sons saw the movie and loved it. I read the books. I saw the cheesy, Christian video (VHS) version of the books. I’m sure this is far better than my vague memories. I think I’m going to wait for it to come out on DVD and watch it back to back with Narnia. P.S. I agree with you on the Happy Memorial Day deal…just doesn’t fit with the theme/tone/reason for the day off.
the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story surprisingly well, all thinks considered… i heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case
