So tomorrow I will be running around a bunch and I’m not sure I will have much time to blog. For those of you that don’t know, I am heading to Portland to meet up with Phil to record and video his live album show. Well, I won’t be the one recording it, but I will be there during the recording of it… you get the idea.
I’m excited to be in Portland again. There is something magically artistic about that place and normally when I am there something cool happens. It’s also cool that it’s where Randy is, so we will be able to get some work done and actually be in the same room to do the work for once.
A couple random things from today. I officially made the switch from Safari to Firefox, and am not sure that I really like it yet. Everything seems so bubbly and annoying to me. And I swear it’s slower, but I could be making that up. What are you using?
Also Kristin and I are two episodes away from finishing the second season of LOST. Ana Lucia is dead and the show is now better because of it. Although it’s a bit creepy that Michael is all whacked out now. I think Season One kept my attention a little better but it’s still a great show.
I rode the scooter to my friend Michael’s house today. We did a rad video for his blog (that he never updates) but I think it’s not working or something. Everyone head to Michael’s blog and harass him about blogging and say hello for me.
So that’s it from this place. I will be around tomorrow but mostly on Twitter so check me out there. I am a little curious about how many people that read this blog are going to be at the show on Friday. I know a couple people have commented already about being there, so let’s hear it. Who’s watching online, and who’s going to be there?
**Quick update. I am currently editing this in Safari because Firefox was being lame. One more like that and we are in a fight.**

Hey, I’m a long time lurker…figure I’d come out of the woodwork to say I’ll be there…should be cool.
Funny you mentioned switching to firefox. About a month or so ago, I switched from firefox to safari. There are a couple things that firefox has that safari doesn’t… but for the most part I’m really enjoying safari. And I agree, I think its faster than firefox.
I will be in Portland - Woo-Hoo!!! My bestie & I are coming down from Tacoma & spending the night! We are so excited!!!! There should be a Brody’s blogger get together or something while we are there - I know, I’m lame!
ps - i like firefox, but i’ve never used safari; firefox is just way better than IE!
Firefox is so slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. I’ve tried to switch many times and it gets annoying. Geez.
I like FireFox way better… ok… I have to be honest… it may crash on my every now and then but I’ve never had the “slow” problem with it…
I just switched to Firefox this week…feel the same way…you’re right, it is definitely slower.
The ‘fox seems a little slower to crank up, but once it’s open, I have no problems. Various add-ins (Better Gmail, Adblock Plus, etc.) make it a keeper for me.
Have a safe trip!
I am a Firefox guy to the core. I transitioned about a year and a half ago and am glad I did. You will find that most stuff on the net will open faster. Especially pages with a lot of crap on them. Just my take. It is a tough transition, but I know you can do it.
I REALLY REALLY want to like Firefox, but all the cool plugins and bells and whistles don’t make up for the fast that it’s horribly slow.
When I’m designing a site I’ll keep Safari open for actual surfing and Firefox open just for debugging.
I also do a bit of surfing in NetNewsWire (my RSS reader) and even that is faster than Firefox.
I’m on the east coast, so won’t be in Portland! Perhaps I’ll get to check it out online. Got to see Phil for the first time in Nashville at the GMA pre-show. It was cah-razy good!
Have fun in Portland bro!

Firefox for me too. Anything to keep me off IE is a great thing. Haven’t tried safari though so can’t compare.

Know what I think is funny…
I was gonna go to the Portland set in person, but now I can’t so I decided I’ll watch it online. Which is really a blessing to even have that option (and I greatly appreciate it BTW).
However, I live out in the boooooooonies in Missouri and my wireless card gets me pretty much zilch for reception as far as audio or video feeds go.
Therefore, I still have to get ready, make arrangements, leave my house, and go somewhere else to “go to” (the Online) Portland Show.
So - even though I’m not GOING to the show… I AM going, to the show!
Amusing. I’m sure that’s clear as mud - Ha.

Did you seriously watch Aurthur? haha, that is great!
I use firefox… but mostly because I am a linux guy… don’t have a Mac. Seriously, as long as you’re not using IE, you are good to go. But in many ways, FF is sort of becoming the new standard. It’s beauty is that it’s more consistent across platforms. So I can use it (and its plugins) on my Windows laptop at work and my linux boxes at work and home and on a Mac if I could actually afford one.
I like Safari okay, maybe it is faster.
But I miss the Google Toolbar and the other extensions I get with Firefox.
I use Firefox, but I used to use IE so it’s HUGE improvement. I just like all the little add-ons.
brody,
have you tried flock?
