This song kicked me in the stomach the other day while I was driving. It was a little dangerous but worth it in the end and I listened to it twice.  Right now I have a long list of albums I need to buy, but haven’t had the time and don’t really want to blow a hundred dollars on right now.  But I love it when you discover a little gem like this tucked all the way down at number eight on an album.  Something you weren’t expecting and something that totally catches you off guard.  If you haven’t yet make sure to check out Eric Peters he’s got some pretty amazing stuff.

What one song is blowing you away right now?

I am loving “Sunshine” by Sarah MacIntosh. Everything- the lyrics, the music, her voice, and the ending is very cool.

I’ll check out Eric Peters. Thanks

There are a lot of songs that I love that captivate me at different times.

The one song that does this every time and has for a long time is a song called, Close Your Eyes, by Dave Barnes.

Good pick, Brody. Eric is a great writer. He’s about to go into the studio to record his next project, which I’m looking forward to.

“At the Cross” by Hillsong’s Darlene Zchech. Such a beautiful song; I just can’t get enough of it. MmmHmmm…

“Learning How to Die” by Jon Foreman. Or “Your Love is Strong” (also Jon’s)…or any of the songs off his Fall, Winter and Spring EPs that are out right now. He has a way of writing songs that sum up my life, so it seems.

I second Raquel’s after seeing it.. after listening to that song, I take a moment of silence..

but, then again, nothing is blowing me away as much as Quietus by A New Honour lately.

That’s a great song. Thanks for sharing Brody.

I’m listening to Tenth Avenue North – “Love Is Here” which is phenominal, but the one that blows me away is from their previous CD called “Beloved”.

Mike gave me a CD he burned of their ‘old stuff’ he called it, but I still can’t get enough. It’s the one that breaks me down every time I hear it. He writes music like he’s looking in to your soul. They are amazing guys! All of them!

I happen to own the house they rent near the studio. That doesn’t make me biased, just makes me honest. PS Brody your link disappeared off my blog. I fixed it. Sorry dude.

I love this song. It always amazes me how you and so many of your blogger friends can come up with new people and new music. I love it. I just don’t know how to do that.
Thank you though…How do I get the words to that song? I looked on his blog, but could not get the lyrics to come up. Still have alot to learn I guess.
    Love you, Mom
