3416009.jpgI noticed last week that only two guys posted “Positive Posts“. I know for a fact that there are more than two males that are reading this blog. I wonder if it’s because we, as men, suck at encouraging each other. We need to compete and feel as manly as possible. Well, at the risk of looking (or feeling) gay, I am going to write about my friend Randy today for “Positive Post Tuesday“.

To keep a twenty-two year old story short, Randy and met when we were seven years old on a little league baseball field and grew up together. Throughout school we were known as the “different” ones, but both were okay with that. We were rarely separate unless forced by teachers, or parents grounding us. We graduated high school together, and have obviously remained in pretty regular contact since graduation. Randy went to college to learn things. I went to work and got married. Both the paths that we needed to take in life. And now it’s getting closer to the point where we will be working together more often.

Randy’s brain works different than most peoples. I still really haven’t figured it out, but it’s fun to watch. His spelling is atrocious, but he can figure out some of the trickiest computer program stuff I have ever heard of. And if he doesn’t know how to do it, he works hard at figuring it out.

Recently Randy has taken a huge role in helping me work with several bands and their online presence. I have had these ideas and complained about them on this blog numerous times and now with Randy’s help a lot of that is actually happening. Without him working his tail off at learning and developing this stuff, everything I am doing would just be ideas. He takes the ideas and then makes the buttons work. (And that’s a big deal when you are primarily working on the internet.) What Randy is able to do, allows me to do what I am doing, and that’s amazing to me. Without that, very little would be getting done.

So anyway, if you haven’t, make sure to go check out Randy’s Blog and take a peek into his brain. Once you can decipher the spelling codes it’s a pretty cool place. Now it’s your turn. I know there are plenty of people out there that have nice things to say about someone so let’s hear it. I want to hear from the guys too.

Here are the rules again:
(1) Write a post building someone up.
(2) Fill out the boxes below. (Linking to your specific post address)

It makes me laugh that you would say that you get more done with Randy around. It was not like that back in school but I guess that is how things change.

I like this weekly positive post idea. It’s such a great way to really think about the great people we might not give enough credit to normally. Thanks.

Not many people have the friendship that you and Ran have. It is eternal. Very encouraging and makes me smile.
