I was watching TV the other night pretty late and this show came on. It was a pretty lame show, but got me thinking the way that you had to think to win the game. The idea is, you start with one word. Let’s say “Top”, the next word needs to go along with that word like “Dollar” equaling “Top Dollar”, then the next work would be something like “Bill” to make “Dollar Bill” and so on.
The more I think about it, I am realizing that it’s kind of hard, but I wanted to see how long we could make the chain here. I think we might need to alter the rules a little though. On this game you can add a word to the beginning or the end of the original word, creating “Top Dollar” or “On Top”. Then you play from the added word. Make sense?
We aren’t making a sentence, we are just playing off of the new word added.
Here’s an example: shopping cart - grocery cart - grocery list - Christmas list - Christmas present - birthday present - happy birthday - happy heart - heart attack - sneak attack….
This might be really lame, or it might be the longest chain of words ever. Make sure to check back a bunch today or I will be playing by myself, and that’s not fun at all. Oh yeah, and try not to use a word that has already been used. Let’s start with the word “Car”.
Ready? Go.
