“Favorite Childhood Cartoon?”

  1. Winnie the Pooh!!!

Eeyore, actually. But the whole “Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred Acre Wood” thing in general. :)

haha, this post made me so happy.

  2. duck tales kicked ass!! but for me it would either be, ummm… Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, or, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

  3. Tom and Jerry…..

    yeah I know, I’m old

  4. Alvin and the Chipmunks or Talespin.

  5. I’ve always wanted to swim in a pile of gold coins. That first dive would probably hurt.

Um, I can never narrow down to favorites, but my failing memory remembers TMNT, Transformers, and Voltron fondly.

  6. Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner

  7. Tweety! Thanks for the memory lane Brody!!

  8. Oh my! So many wonderful memories! I think I’ll have to go with either Tiny Toons or Darkwing Duck

  9. Bugs bunny and his crew of looney toons.

  10. Wow – Ducktales? Great song . . . not so much on the story lines.

Can I say USA Cartoon Express? It was like a syndication of different cartoons . . . Space Ghost and JabberJaw and Mr. Jinx. Awesome.

  11. I am so with you! I had the season one dvds in my cart this weekend to give to my daughter for her 5th birthday…Why oh why did I talke myself out of it?!!?!

  12. Anamaniacs… it’s hard to beat Pinky and the Brain!

  13. The Animaniacs were the greatest!

  14. Just A Passer By

I actually was really into watching the Berenstein Bear show. I know it was a dorky show, but hey it entertained me. A lot of people don’t actually know that they had a show. Well, did they miss out? Not really. I also liked, well I actually still like Tom and Jerry, oldie but a goodie. The Berenstein Bears though was my favorite.:)

  15. oh the ducktales. launchpad mcquack was awesome. i’d still have to go with the classic Roadrunner or Speedy Gonzales.

  16. Totally something like when Saturday morning cartoons were good. Like X-Men or something.

  17. I loved pinky & the brain! still do :) i also have to admit to loving the Smurfs! & of course since i’m a girl – Strawberry Shortcake.

  18. Rowan

G.I. Joe – ‘cuz knowing is half the battle, Yo Joe!
We had slim pickin’s in the foothills before cable – whatever would come through on channel 2 from S.F. G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, He-Man, Tom & Jerry, & Smurfs!

  19. Definitely Anamaniacs.

  20. wait a second. Actually, I do remember my first favorite. GI Joe. the real american heros

  21. Ducktales, Talespin, and Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers

  22. I loved Tailspin and Ducktails… but does anyone remember Fraggle Rock? I loved that show! I guess not technically a cartoon, but still my favorite kid show :-)

  23. Definitely a tie between Looney Toons and GIJOE. a-

  24. GI Joe and Dungeons and Dragons.

and strangely I like The Smurfs too. Smurffette was hot in her own way.

  25. I’m a little surprised that no one has mentioned my “number two”. Gummy Bears.

  26. Oh wow… Gummy Bears… so many memories…

  27. Childhood – Bugs Bunny

    Adult – Animaniacs

Shameful – I, too, watched Gummy Bears. I’ll go hang myself in the barn, now.

  28. amy

Oh you beat me to it! Gummy Bears! Best cartoon theme song ever, or a close tie with Ducktales. Anyone remember The Snorks?

  29. Speed Racer, G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe

  30. Smurfs. Hands down. Thanks for the encouragement, too, Brody. The link was my pleasure.

  31. Rocko’s Modern Life

  32. I’d have to go with the Smurfs, too.

But I also watched a lot of Barbie and the Rockers.

  33. Beth Waldeck

Looney Tunes in general. One of my very favorite Saturday morning varieties though was “Fat Albert.” Rudy and Weird Harold were great! Hey, hey, hey!

    Beth

  34. joelt

    The debate is over…MIGHTY MOUSE!!!

  35. Beth

Let’s not forget “Underdog” and “Atom Ant” (not to be confused with the non-animated Adam Ant).

    Beth

  36. Definately Looney Tunes!!

  37. Transformers,
    Rescue Rangers,
    Gummy Bears,
    Ducktales

Loony toons, tom and jerry & mighty mouse are the classics that cant be rated.

wow… those are some good ones listed in the comments. i was flippin’ through the channels the other night and ran across Voltron, and that got me waxing nostalgiac…

Speed Racer, Starblazers, Loony Tunes (Bugs Bunny and gang), Tom & Jerry, Mighty Mouse, Hanna Barbera (Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, Grape Ape, etc), Space Ghost… and anyone remember the Kroft Superstars? I know it’s not a cartoon, but I LOVED watching Sigmund the Seamonster, Space Nuts, and Land of the Lost!
