Disciple - “After The World” - 2008
I have heard this song a few times over the past few weeks and for the life of me could not remember what it reminded me of. Then I saw the video, and it still was driving me crazy. Where have I seen something like this before? Why does it bring me back to Jr. High School, and why do I wish I had long flowing, curly locks of hair?
Then it hit me! And the song came flowing back.

Quick side note about the Mr. Big song. Who really wants to “wait in a line, just be the next to be with” anyone? Isn’t that a little pathetic Mr. Big? Come on man. Have some self respect.

Nice call Brody. I’m a little bit older than you (I was a sophomore in college) and I totally agree on that similarity and I’m so glad you made the connection. Unlike the Mr. Big song, I do like the sentiment in the Disciple song.

Thanks! I’m glad I’m not the only one this drove crazy. I was quite the long hair band lover in my day, and as soon as I heard that Disciple song I thought who does that sound like? I kept asking my husband, who was not a headbanger. He didn’t know of course. Then it hit me last week, yep, Mr. Big. Brings back a lot of memories.
