Yesterday we didn’t leave the house. I don’t think I even got the mail. We barely got dressed, and played games all day in the living room. We watched Diego, the bossy, Hispanic animal rescue guy, and wrote letters to mommy.

It was nice to not go anywhere. to just be home and enjoy doing that. With nothing else happening. Today, I needed to get out. I kept trying to think of things to go do, but realized that the boys wouldn’t like any of the things I wanted to do. I remembered that Carlos was in town and I hadn’t seen him yet so we decided to meet up for lunch. And that’s what we did. The boys and I loaded up and met Carlos at Mellow Mushroom, in Franklin for the best pizza around. It was cool to catch up with him and have a little adult conversation, and to top if off the boys were good.

Right now it’s nap time, and 6:00 was early this morning so I might take advantage of the quiet.
