I got an email tonight and about five minutes after I got the email I got a call from another one of my friends in The Myriad. Here is what the email said:
We just got the call from MTV New York and we made the Top 3 and are now finalist in MTV2’s 2007 Dew Circuit Breakout. We will be performing live from Times Square NY on MTV2 on December 15th and after the performance the winner will be announced. The TOP 3 bands start with a blank slate for votes in this final round. Votes from today until December 15th determine the winner. MTV get’s behind the winner and really helps excel their career as this years ‘breakoutband’ including promotions all year long as well as a music video on regular rotation shot by MTV in Times Square.

Here’s the deal. This is a pretty huge deal for them and since it’s all based on a voting system, that’s exactly what they need. Votes. I know that every computer is allowed to vote 100 times a day and I know there are plenty of people out there bored at work or school, wondering what they can do to pass the time.

In my opinion, the thought of these guys popping into a scene littered with no-talent crap is exactly what MTV needs. These guys are the real deal. They are straight forward amazing guys that love people, love God, and deserve to win. So there’s the challenge. Go here and vote 100 times today… then tomorrow… then the next day.

Awesome. I am so excited for the guys! My sister and I saw them in Manhattan with Phil and DCB. Then, she chatted outside Starbucks with ‘em while I grabbed a frappuchino. One of the guys actually had a friend from Kansas City come up for the show like we had. Anywho, you can count on us for a couple hundred votes a day. I pray they have a blessed live performance and enjoy that gift God sent them. Whatever the end result I know the Lord will cause it to work for their best. I’m pretty against what MTV is showing these days but I’m very happy that the Myriad is doing this. MTV needs this like we need oxygen.
And they’re just good fun guys who are extrremely talented and that’s more reason to vote.
I downloaded their CD off of Ruckus a few days ago, and they are really, really great.
I’ll definitely be voting!
