Friends And Fish (Continued)

dsc_0102.jpgWe left Wednesday morning and headed toward our hotel in downtown Atlanta. Once there and checked in we ordered a pizza. It only took a few minutes for the pillows to be off the beds, the cushions off the couch, both T.V.’s on, and the sliding closet door to be off it’s tracks. The boys were excited to be out of the car and in a new place. Our friends and their three boys arrived a few hours later. Now a total of six boys age five and under. It was crazy but fun to watch.

Thursday we got up and grabbed breakfast at the restaurant downstairs in the hotel, and we were planning on going to the Aquarium, but Cooper woke up with a fever. Kristin thought it was best that she stay with him in the room so the rest of us decided to skip the aquarium for the day and see about watching a movie. Our options were open for Thanksgiving dinner, but we knew that Cracker Barrel would have the “traditional” meal for us if we wanted. Turns out, there isn’t a Cracker Barrel anywhere close to downtown Atlanta, but we found one about twenty minutes south. Then back to the hotel for bed.

dsc_0196.jpgYesterday, with some good rest and a fever-less baby we took off for the aquarium, and so, apparently did the rest of Atlanta. It was the most crowded place I have been in a long time. And remember, there are six boys all together. It was a pretty amazing place once you could get past the crowds. Lots of cool stuff to check out and lots of cool places to loose kids. All in all it was a great trip, and it was great to catch up with the friends we haven’t seen in several months. After several hours at the aquarium, we started back home. The boys slept most of the way and Kristin and I watched a movie.

Now we are home and getting ready for the week. Wednesday, Kristin and Blue are leaving for California for a few days so I need to prepare for being with the little ones alone. I’m excited to spend some time with them.

Hi Brody, glad you all enjoyed the trip even with six boys 5 years and under! Yikes!! However, they are precious. Also grateful Cooper is fever-less. God bless.

Our kids like that they can jump on the beds at hotels. Glad you had a good time.

  3. Good times (sorry for the entirely too overused phrase, but it just feels like the appropriate thing to say). The nearest Cracker Barrel to where I live is two and a half hours away…so sad.
