Death Cab For Cutie made a video for this too, but it has nothing to do with the song, and some girl walking around in her underwear writing French words on things, in my opinion, distracts from listening to these amazing lyrics.

This song has been stuck in my head for two days now, and no matter how many times I hear these words it gives me goosebumps. This is easily one of the most well written songs I have ever heard. I don’t think there are many people in the world that can paint pictures like Ben Gibbard. The description of the hospital is perfect. The feeling of sadness in a waiting room is perfect. And the idea of relationships created on this planet is flawless.
