My New Favorite Person In Northern Ireland
I have a new favorite person in Northern Ireland.
I don’t know if I had an old favorite person in Northern Ireland, but I know I had forgotten that a few weeks back I mentioned that I wasn’t able to get a copy of Foy Vance’s new cd, and a blog friend mentioned that he would be willing to send me one. So it was a great surprise today when my wife came in with the mail and said I got something cool, from somewhere cool.
So far I have listened to the first four or five songs three times and trying to work my way through it between feeding kids, and breaking up fights. It’s a pretty amazing album so far though.
Thanks, Conner, for remembering, and taking the time to send something around the world to me. Let me know if there is some crappy American music you want that you can’t get there, and I would be glad to send it your way.
And to everyone else reading this, head over to Conner’s blog and thank him for me. Oh yeah, and check out his photography too. It’s pretty great.

no problems at all, i hope you enjoy the cd, pardon the pun…
that’s really nice. you’ve never done anything that nice for me, brody. whats up with that?
awesome, connor is the man
ahem…burn me a cd…ahem…
I love Foy Vance.
Gabriel and the Vagabond is the only thing I have been able to put on my ipod from him.
Yeah my friend did something like that [sent me a CD I wanted] and she got it autographed by the drummer. She’s flippin’ awesome.
Steven. Burning CD’s is a sin. Have you heard “Indiscriminate Acts of Kindness”? Awesome.
Brody,
Ordered my copy from England got it in the mail last week. some of the best stuff i have heard in a while. thanks for posting the video and getting me hooked a while back. see you soon! by the way, words cannot express how jealous i am that you saw Damien the other night.

LOVE Foy Vance. There’s a great acoustic set on YouTube if you haven’t seen it already.
